    The man DEFINITELY was robbed of finals MVP he lead the team in EVERYTHING but scoring & the scoring difference was only by 5-6 points

      6 ppg difference is huge especially when one guy is averaging 24 ppg on 60 efg% and the other 18 on 45%. also duncan was solid 1st 2 games averaging 23 ppg on 57%, but then he got shot down and averaged 13 ppg on 31% in the last 2 games. on the other hand parker only had 1 "off game" where he still scored 17 points on 7/17.

      @@sebastiancovac7879 Only thing I’ll say is Duncan was doubled on a good amount of his possessions and Parker was wide open, when you consider the gravity Duncan had and the disparity defensively (in which Duncan was one of the 5 greatest defenders ever and Parker was a sieve) I’d have given it to Duncan

    • @sebastiancovac7879

      @@hardwoodthought1213 but great players always face double teams and deal with it. averaging 13 ppg while shooting 31% cause you happen to see more double teams is bad no matter how you try to spin it. that means the guy was forcing his shot and not only is he inefficient, but also unable to score. that plus the fact that the other guy is putting up insane numbers (24 ppg on 60 efg%) and theres no real argument here for duncan. finals mvp is not life time achievement award. its the best player of the finals and in 2007 it was parker. now you could make an argument that manu shouldve been 2005 finals mvp instead of duncan. he was putting up better numbers in spurs wins compared to duncan.

      @@sebastiancovac7879 you’re trying too hard to discredit Tim duncan. Manu did not put up better numbers in their wins in 05 and again use proper context, the defense was focused on stopping Tim first and foremost and had a formidable duo to slow him down which included an all time great defender in Ben Wallace. While Manu scored well he wasn’t nearly as valuable as Tim. The spurs couldn’t even take Tim out without getting abused in the paint because they didn’t have anyone else credible to bang in the paint with the Wallace boys. The difference in value was pretty obvious, the spurs lose Manu to injury they lose the series, the spurs lose Tim they get swept while being manhandled every game

      Also thanks to the east being trash. That worst team ever had a top 5 defense and kept every game close despite lebron only having 22ppg on 35% shooting with 6 turnovers per game.

    • @Terror832
      @Terror832 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      By default someone in that extremely weak East had to make the Finals.
      This is a hot take but teams like the Yao/T-Mac Rockets, AI/Melo Nuggets, We Believe Warriors, and the Steve Nash Suns would’ve made it to the Finals if they played out East.
      Difference was that the level of competition in the West was absolutely absurd.
