Fall Cruise on the Rideau Canal

Great video we just purchased a small cruiser out of lens cove and plan to do some of your cruises. How long did it take you to get to Davis lock? I was also wondering how long you took to do the full loop to Montreal and kingston and back?

Is it difficult to navigate the canal and is it well marked? What is the best time of year to do this trip?

The channel is well marked, and the charts are very accurate. We like doing this trip before the peak of the season or after school starts, so in June, or after Labor Day. Otherwise the locks fill up fast. You have to be more careful of the water levels in the Fall if you draw more water, but most years it is fine. You are planning a trip up the Rideau?
