SEIN RAIJ TUBER BEHDEINKHLAM FESTIVAL 2024 CONCLUDES

This is the Behdeinkhlam Festival performed annually by the Pnars of Meghalaya in North East India.
It is a religious festival of those people of the Community who are still practising traditional faith known as 'Ka Niamtre'
It is celebrated just after the sowing season was over.
The celebration is the most colorfull in the state and it is unique to witness this festival as people who are taking part in the festival are dancing to the tune of local made drums, Cymbals and flutes.
It is a four days festival and on the last days faithfulls from across Khasi and Jaintia Hills thronged to the 'Biar' a sacred pools to witness the festivals.
Faithful also carrying colorful paper manuments known as "Rong" were brought to the Biar for public display before they were immerse at the Biar to culminate the yearly Behdeinkhlam festival with a hope of prosperity, good health and all kind of blessings from the Almighty
