- WIDE OPEN ROCKFISHING ON THE CORAL SEA! Caught my limits of reds and limited on rockfish. Was instant biters, definitely one of my best trips I have ever had. Quality was insane drop after drop we were getting monsters. Worth the 3 hour boat ride out.

Derrick, I've watched quite a few of your more recent videos, but what I like about this one is that most of the time it seemed you were fishing unbaited bucktails, and it was very effective. 😊 I'll remember that for my Santa Barbara trip later in the year.

Good question. I like to use all my setups equally and this was my first ever setup I bought. I like it because it has a level wind so I don't have to think about laying the line back even when I'm reeling up a fish
Nice video. Just out if curiosity, why do you keep the fish at your feet instead of tag and bag?
Thank you! In the channel Islands the crew are very careful about keeping overlimit so the crew tells everybody to leave the fish at our fish so that only they put the fish in our bags to keep tally on how many fish we are at so far. They actually do not let you bag your own fish, different than what I am used to. Tight lines bro thank you for watching!
Good video. For your thumb, instead of bandaid, try looking for a weightlifting tape for the thumb. It’s amazing and effective... fishing hack
