I like the top down then mix approach but my two biggest issues are 1. Playing the same people every other kvk can seriously harm player retention, especially if one side wins consecutively. And 2. If it is structured like that then those "off season" kvks will become boring/ dry kvks because everyone wants to prepare for the "main kvk" which then kind of defeats the purpose.
I would like improved notifications. For example, I want to be notified if my alliance launches a PvP rally, but I don't want to be notified every time my alliance rallies a Darkling fort.
A lot of times PvP rallies are launched on darkling forts though. I don't know how the game would differentiate.
22:48 I honestly think the chokes and bridges and all that are just suffering from the games age. When players are able to field five t5 flyer marches with all legendary heros (not just the krakens at this point) I feel like chokes and strategy will play a much much bigger factor and will help towards the longevity of the game verses, can we make a bigger murderball then them and smash our faces into it lol. It just sucks right now because players dont have the commander diversity and troops to be able to do that yet.
Agreed. However in the same breath, I still would like to see diversity of choke points and having areas dedicated to wide open-fields of play so we get a healthy mix, even if a bit more OF.

18:22 very good point that I think was breezed over. No matter what method the deva go with, peoples opinions are jaded. Because for a lot of people it is not matchmaking they have a problem with its diplo. You can have a perfectly even kvk from the devs criteria but one alliance (like an alliance in sob2-4 rn can come to diplo and say "hey we're not fighting them, idc what happens but we are not fighting them." Then all of a sudden it's an "unfair" kvk in a lot of players eyes.
100%, as diplo can make any kvk either fair or imbalanced. Though the devs can control the design of the maps, systems behind matchmaking, and other areas that can lay good groundwork for players to enjoy.
@@BOSSNASTi For sure. For sure. 100% agree with that. I just dont want it to fall into the kvk3 of rok formula where you are given allies, given enemies and the structure of the map makes it so everyone makes it into final zone. Too much hand holding can be bad too. But I definitely agree with your point.
I usually aprettiate your content. This video is very very long! True but the content is amazing. Really good video. Keep going bringing us good stuff. The opinion of most of us is similar for the most of sittuations you showed us today.
About Gem gap , i think it should be extended to 2k but not remove. Otherwise we will see Gem camps always taken 24/7 and will be a pain . Since some players also need less resources than others ... those players will camp the Gem nodes all the time.
Some players with lower accounts whould moove intentionally to side zones to avoid that ... avoiding also fighting zones and farming only more and more.
For that reason i Dont recomend it. Still i think it should be much bigger.... Maybe 2k whould be enouth. Since the buildings to 25 cost always 2k gems because of the item we must buy to do them

There are not multiple ways to win a season lol you can win a war and give up the rewards and the dragon capture to a different alliance but the side who takes dragon wins. There’s really no other way to measure winning the overall season. Not pushing them out of all the zones might not be complete victory but it’s still a dub
The answers in this questionnaire by top alliance leaders say otherwise.
