Malayan Banded Pitta (Hydrornis irena)

A shy bird with beautiful gem-like colors. Male has a bright red lava-like eyebrow stripe. The belly is dark blue with black stripes on the side of the breast. Female has a lighter belly with black stripes all over the belly.
