I might be biased (because this is my favorite plant) but I think Kernel Pult is underrated because altohough kernal Pult has a very weak corn attack, he can also butter zombies which completely stop them in their tracks, sure it is rng but keep in mind kernal Pult cost only 100 sun which can easily make them spam able and if paired with high damaging plants, kernal Pult could be very useful.
Kernel is the earliest stalling attacker you get and the fact it can take out coneheads somewhat consistently by itself on top of making waves last longer which helps with sun production makes for a surprisingly useful tool. I've been using it as my main early attacker ever since I unlocked it in my current playthrough
I actually use all the plants I have. I don't care if a plant is strong/weak or bad design, I use them because they each have their own use and uniqueness (albeit not dissimilar). It's good to try out random plants sometimes. (I play in arena, penny's pursuit, thymed events, quests, endless zones, etc.) For me, new plants means I have something new in collection, thus more strategies. Fun! 🌿
Dragon Brute is one, its unbelievably overpowered with them being powered, really high damage, poison, overpowered af plantfood, splash, spawns babies on death. Hes comparable to the dusk lobber in strength
The one problem with noctarine is, it get outclassed by many instant plants like cherry bomb or primal potato mine. Don't get me wrong it an ok instant kill plant but cherry bomb does the job way better. And the shadow aura thing lasts too short for me , and i prefer moonflower But hey that just my opinion.😀

Noctarine is underate due to the dogma of their first version (being lagging) they fixed it(it can happen if too many zombie,but is as bad aa before). Also,solar tomato goescarries in Penny's pursuit and arena,solar tomato sweep.

Considering multiple dinosaurs can spawn per wave, being able to remove only one of them is not super useful. "Tall-nut is underrated" If you want a wall, go with chard guard or primal wall-nut. Yes, tall-nut can block low flying zombies, but those zombies are either countered by blover or not much of a threat. I don't know how good the other plants are.
Sap fling isn't underrated in my opinion. If you want a plant who's underrated, and not looked at for their pros is spore shroom. sure, it may seem a little weak, but i think that adds onto the gimmick of it making zombies spore shrooms aswell, as it would be closer to the house, making it seem like you never had to plant em to begin with. However, i do agree that spore shroom needs a few tweaks, because he is a good idea, but they sort of executed him badly. When they buff him, there's going to be a likely chance he'll be good, or considered being used of course.
I only choose sap fling because he is good to counter excavator barrel roller and gargantuars. But I haven't try that sap fling can disable tyrannosaurus ability

If there's a level with graves, use tomb Tangler, you can even beat a level by using only Tomb tanlers and nothing else. Maybee is also underrated. She can survive against arena zombies who eat very fast. You don't really need to combe her with lightning reed, she alrady good without it. Her pf can stall alot of zombies at the same time.
Wanting to add tomb tangler to the list but i kinda disappointed the chance of him dragging down the zombies is very small. Sometimes he doesn’t even do any attack.

Imitator noctarine goes hard with a dps shadow plant like Dusk Lobber. Any zombies in the toxic cloud take double damage.

We use noctarine to make zombies more vulnerable to shadow damage, not as an instant kill. I'm surprised this video didn't mention this niche.

Very good video. Planting many Boingsettas in a column makes the Zombies to go off the lawn and the level ends soon even if there are Zombies to come.
