Your English is excellent HB and your accent is beautiful. Love from Yorkshire in the north of England where no one understands what we are saying anyway. 😂 You are a true artist and I love your videos. 🇬🇧 xx
I’m an English professor (well, I was before I moved to the UK) and a genuine grammar expert (I teach academic writing to undergrads) and i absolutely LOVE your idiosyncratic grammar. Please don’t change it - it’s part of what makes you, you. (If you are writing a formal paper in English, then sure, you’ll want to edit for grammar, obviously.)
Please don't feel the need to change your speech! Aluminum is American, aluminium is (British) English. Both are correct. Plus, I enjoy your phraseology, just as it is. "Wetten your hair" is a favorite phrase in our house. Love your vids. I learn so much!
I like the way Brits pronounce words, "aluminium" has an almost melodic tone which I find pleasing. Another word, "controversy" is pronounced differently in Britain, tho not sure if it's spelled differently. I do love Hair Buddah's voice and diction, always clear and concise as well, love watching!
100%! I’m in the USA and I enjoy hearing the different ways words are said in different parts of the world. I find it fascinating. I especially loved learning that a grilled cheese sandwich is called a cheese toasty in the UK. Love it! lol
I think she looks beautiful even after the highlights & color. Kind of a red/blond hue that brightens up her pretty face. And I love that she remains so calm throughout. We can all learn from this. Have a great week, everyone! ❤
My husband built us a houseboat that we are living on. Very clever modern design. Survived our first storm.last night, on the river but felt like we were in the sea!
Only in Canada and US do we say aluminium the second way, don't worry about making us happy, we're fine with you saying it the first way, it actually makes more sense to say it the way you originally did!!
Hb, we are living on a houseboat that my husband and teenage kids built! Its fantastic! We live in Australia on the Murray River, and had our first big storm last night, the waves crashing around us felt like we were in the ocean. Was very proud of my husband that it remained intact 😅
Yay.. HB with a new video! Her hair was lovely.. Here for all the F ups 😂😂 We in UK say Aluminium… think aluminum is more American English… you can say it as you wish! Your English is very good! ❤
Beautiful girl! I like the streaks, So sick of everyone looking the same with shadow roots and balayage. I've always seen salons where everyone walking out looks the same, shouldn't be.
I love your accent! I have heard of other people who's first language isn't English, and they also talk about getting rid of their accent. I don't know, I like hearing it! Some sound really cute or sexy, or something! Idk, but I do know I like it! Even though I can be a "grammar nazi" it doesn't bug me when it's with people who don't speak the language as a first.
Thaaaaank you Hair Buddha!!!!! I just bleached my "money piece" n it came out 99% perfect n I learned it ALL from you! You really are the best 🏆 **2x with 20 vol cream bleach
To clarify the ‘color won’t lift color’ rule, color won’t lift artificial color. It will lift natural color. Like Hair Buddha said, you may see a glimpse of color on top of your artificially colored hair, but it will not lift artificial color. Only natural color.😊
I love your accent! I’m from Canada, raised in England, and lived 10+ years in Asia. I speak several languages and have taught a language or two. It is was it is. Ciaokas
I'm from the UK, and we pronounce aluminum the same as you, from what I've seen, people from USA pronounce it like "aloo-minum". I think both are correct, it's just a dialect thing.
I think she either has very little cosmetology training or got advice from a student before attempting her highlights. Her sectioning is similar to what we did in our class this week practicing highlighting. She is also doing her highlights horizontally on top of a blunt cut which is supposed to be flattering for that hair style. Although, she did not really section accurately which I’m guessing would be why you can see where the highlights start on that strands. I love watching these videos to reinforce the information I am learning in my cosmetology program 😊
Aluminum Is how we say it in North America. It's aluminium elsewhere. It's even spelled differently on packages. So, both are correct, but given that you're in Europe, you should absolutely go with aluminium!
I wanted to give my sister highlights but I would do way thinner strands, she changed her mind after I had bleach in my hair lol. Also the way you say aluminium is correct, the American version misses out the second i
I was not criticising Hair Budda. We speak, by default, how we are taught and he said aluminium first. I agree that he should just speak how he was taught. He shouldn't have to change his speech for other countries. I love your channel HB.
No no, my handsome hair guy, why would you change yourself to speak like us? Surely you realize we are made fun of because we sound like the morons of the world 😂😂 You are perfect!
To be fair it is also spelled differently in USA "AlUmiNUM" There's no "Min*i*Um" like in uk or europe. My ex was from London and we looked together in the kitchen one day lol He slowly spelled it out with his mouth haha and went "oh!" lololol So both are correct!
ahh what a good idea, hypothetically!!! Had she just gone up towards the root more and done smaller sections this would have come thru!! (But if she was trying Baylage - a few tweaks would def be needed)
Hey HB love your content! Just wanted to pop in and say that aluminium pronunciation is british English and the aluminum pronunciation is American English, so don't worry! You're absolutely fine!
Put some curls in it, it will look lovely! As Hair Buddha said, we have seen a lot worse! p.s. the way you initially pronounced aluminium is correct - it's only in USA and Canada that they, inexplicably, alter traditional English spelling (removing i's and u's). Your English is great Hair Buddha (even the "cutted" is charming ❤️ ).
In the uk, we say aluminium the first way you said it. It's a usa and Canada way to say it the second. I believe the first way is better scientificly as it is more consistent with other elements. For my part, please dont change the way you say it😂
Two polish guys were discussing: - What is it? - That is amelinium - What? - Amelinium, that's amelein - And you can't paint it? - No, you must have an ameleinium paint 😂😂😂
Hb the aluminum pronunciation you use is how they say it in britain and the commonwealth . In the USA we say it the way you heard in a show or movie. Canada is a bit of both, they have a constant in flux from britain and also have a lot of american influence. So its really just up to you which way you want to go with it. ❤❤❤
Your way of saying aluminium is correct. Only Americans drop the "i" from the end. If you look in the periodic table of elements, it is spelt with an I so Americans pronounce it incorrectly. ( Australian-American here). 😊
@carr0760 on you packing it will spell it like that as that is who it is marketed for. But if you look at an international periodic table you can see that aluminium is constant with the other names of the elements so is more correct on a scientific basis.
Stick to the way you say aluminum as that is the way we say it in Australia as well. American and Canadian people say it the second way you said it and it is so annoying. Love your channel ❤️
Actually the 'aluminium' pronunciation is a British vs American difference. Both are considered correct, since you're not British or American, unless you were going for a specific accent.
That brown colour in the beginning is absolutely gorgeous on her! Stunning!
Her hair is so beautiful in the beginning, I would not touch it with dyes 😭
I completely agree! Her natural hair is stunning and really showcases her beauty.
Was thinking the same!
Never use metal comb when dying hair.
@@hair-buddhaI know it was soooo pretty
you guys know at the beginning of her video is dyed hair, right? 😂 but it does look amazing on her. the highlights were not a good idea.
It’s quite refreshing to have a hair dyeing video where the “creator “ isn’t swearing every other word. She’s nice and very beautiful.
I agree. I stop watching the review videos where the person is swearing constantly. It’s just not necessary to be fluent in colorful metaphors.
Her hair was SO GORGEOUS and it suited her so well.

And too, Aluminium is latin. It's used in France.
The British is more correct, as we are the parent of the USA.
Aluminum can't be correct as it's missing a second letter i. Americans just refuse to admit they are wrong.
@zsigzsag yes. He has a diction that we can to understand. More easier that the American English.
Aluminum, alinnuminum. Potato, po TA toe. Don't listen to people's criticism HB, you say words the way it's comfortable for YOU.
Not potato, potato, British versus American. And they are two different spellings, potato potato, they are spelled the same.
Exactly. In the uk we say aluminium, folks across the pond say aluminum. Same stuff.

@@pheart2381same here in Australia. We say Aluminium not Aluminum, it’s definitely an American thing.
