    hello i have a brand new gixxer 150. i have notice when i am riding a hill or riding with a passenger the bike is too slow as if it is laking of torque. As i know there is a relation between compression and torque. So i've made a simple compression test. First i have use the kickstart to turn the engine and have found that there is a very low resistance when rotating the engine using kickstart. To confirm that there is a lack of compression i have remove the spark plug, and try kicking the engine while my thumb is blocking the spark plug hole just to see if i can prevent the compression from escaping the spark plug hole. it is very easy to resist the compression from escaping. i have made a conclusion the lack of torque is due to a low compression in the cylinder. Grateful if you have and idea where is the issue and how to solve it?

    BrotherI have 2015 model Gixxer naked, dual tone single disc model. Bought in 2017 & in these5 years have riden more than 1L km. I have used it as my daily commuter. Dont have any good mechanic in my nearby Suzuki showrooms. Took it to a couple of mechanic in my area where they said it is necessary to change the following items.
    Ball racer
    Disc plate
    Disc pad
    Chain sprocket
    Brake shoe rear
    Timing chain
    Rocker
    Piston cylinder
    Valve kit
    Main bearing engine
    Plug
    Head cover o ring
    Engine packing kit
    Clutch assembly
    Air filter
    Mobil filter
    Need your guidance regarding the same.

    Another thing you can help me with... Cold starts are fine on my gixxer 155 but hot starts the engine seems to die. I checked the spark plug clearance and tightened the timing chain as well. Any other possible reason? Spark plug is squeaky clean. I tried different a/f ratios as well from rich to lean but tao engine sputters when hot starting and dies. Engine idle is fixed to 1500rpm and ektu gas dile when doing hot start, it will start fine. do you think this is another symptom of piston ring being worn down?

      Valves may be over tight, out of specs, when its hot, valves dont close and looses compression. Increase the valve clearance a little more, see what happens.

    Bhai maine apni Gixxer gar me kholi hai timing chain ki wajah se to dekha usme crankshaft me jaha timing chain lagti hai uske 2 Kate tute hai vo replace ho jayega

    Mere pass b Gixxer bike hai engine oil kafi drain ho ra ha kya problem ho skti hai there is no leakage at anywhere maine motul 10 w40 fully synthetic mobil dala tha 1500 km run krne pr hi engine oil low level p a gya a ... Abhi tk 72000 km chal chuki hai bike plz reply

      Piston rings old ho chuka hai, blow by ho raha hai. High rpm me smoke de raha hoga. Its time for a new cylinder kit.

    I have gixxer 2018 its carburetor model..i have change piston after 10000kms..but after change piston air filter oil filter my bike is not running smooth as before..also average is near about 32kms ..before I got 55kms/litre from same bike...kindly suggest what I have to fix my engine smoothness and good drivability and enhance pickup with decent avarage of 50kms on highway

      @@EzMeck yes..its changed bcoz ,bike throws white smoke from exhaust nd 24 km milage..low pick up nd jerks,so mechanic said change the piston..

      It's impossible to tell what is wrong with your bike without inspection. It may be because of bad valves, bad timing settings, bad piston rings positioning, bad bearings, improper valve seating.

      @@avim4896 no it's not 5 yr..its 3 yrs..but I hvnt done timely paid services ...its bcoz not trained nd experienced mechanic in suzuki showroom overhere in my town😆 that's y I skipped paid services...even they r not performing good in free services

    Bro, getting lot of seeping oil from head area, i am suspecting high crankcase pressure. Piston rings kitne km mein change karna chahiye?

      Presure in cylinder head is not that high that it can seep through. Your head gasket is either blown out or its not seated properly. Piston rings if fitted properly can last 30-50k kms. I have seen people running same piston rings for 1lakh or so kms also.

      @@EzMeck i am nearing 50k kms. I do a lot of hard riding 🤣 im guessing they didn't seat the gasket properly after adjusting the valve rocker clearances. Do you know the exact gaps needed for the exhaust and intake sides? I rather so it myself than some poorly informed/educated tech who has no idea why he is doing something.
      Forgot to mention, i see seepage from near the magneto as well, which has some lead coming out of it.

      @@dedasdude gixxer have common problems of oil seeping through magnet side wiring port gasket. Applying some rtv sealant solves the issue. But its a recurring problem, so dont panic and have a tube of rtv sealant in home.
      Valve Clearances being .08for intake .12 for exhaust(the one I prefer). I have seen engine performs better while the valves are a little free than a little too tight.

    what if cylinder got smooth like chrome without crosshatch marks??

      First symptoms that it will be leaking oil soon. It's the crosshatch that seals the oils with the rings, not the rings alone.

      @@EzMeck but brother it's consuming only 100 ml of 1 litre in 2800 kms. Also i had already seen that situation last year and more than 10k kms have been covered by my bike since last year. No abnormal sound, no reduction in pick up, starts in one click, gives mileage nearly 65 kmpl.

      Oil level is reducing means oil is slipping through the cylinder piston, white smoke can be observed in exhaust in high rpms, there will be black carbon deposits in exhausts. Topping up at right time will stop it from doing any harm, air cooled engines can be ridden like this. But this is not possible with liquid cooled engines.
      If you can keep an eye on the oil level, and top up regularly then no need to worry,

      Port nehi kehte use rebore kehte hai, yes bigger size piston k sath cylinder rebore karwa sakte ho, lekin rebored engines zada din last nehi karta, so I will suggest you to go for stock standard size cylinder piston kit.

      I always prefer a trusted local mech over service center guys. Jaha se bhi karao original cylinder piston set dalwao, dont rebore it. Zada din nehi chalta hai bore wala engines.
