Standard Nine Teignmouth Drive (Part One)

A little video of Tom driving his 1929 Standard Teignmouth this afternoon with me as his passenger. Filmed from Almondsbury driving north towards Oldbury-on -Severn on the A38. A bright, sunny day giving him the chance to take his Vintage car out of the garage after lots of rainy dark days !

She seems to be running very sweetly, charging well, oil pressure sufficient and temperature at ' normal ' !.

Yes I was checking too ! "Buffy" will be getting a new battery soon . The starter cranks the engine slowly in the cold. The same battery when Tom bought the Standard seven years ago.

I have an electronic flasher unit that has the sound of a traditional click of a bi-metallic unit! Readily available for suppliers. I drove along that road when I did the "End to End" run in April last year in my Austin 7, that is a nice road that is old-car friendly! Thanks for sharing!
