As to the video...it adds another layer to this song as well as the entire album what with the return of Slim Shady as requested by some of the fan base even though Eminem has tried to put that demon down and attempt to grow as an artist according to how Marshall is growing as a person as he ages and matures. At least that is my take on it. Video made me love the song even more.

Dude, I loved the video, the imagery of the criticism bringing out the darkness aka Slim Shady is great, I love how it shows Em metaphorically running from the criticism and at the same time running from his dark side - and then eventually accepting his fate and also accepting Shady back in his body so to speak. There's a lot of play with shadows in the video aswell, both in the staircase aswell as showing how Em was in a dark place after Revival, but in the end he came out stronger.
Lol yeah the metaphors is great and bringing the idea to visual life. But the graphics and the editing to me take me out of being immersed in the video. A for the conceptual idea. D for the graphics and editing lol at least to me lol
Lord Jamar was one of 3 members of Brand Nubian hip hop group from the early 90s. While their music wasn't that bad, Jamar was average MC at best. He claims that Em can't be a goat, because hip hop is a house of blacks and white people can only be guests in the house of hop hop. He is an ignorant person at best. I actually really love the video, if you watch in the beginning the shadow is doing it own movements and then while it's coming up behind him on the stairs it starts making his movements and then when he says ( I WAS HERE BEFORE YOU AND I'LL BE HERE AFTER YOU ) the shadow is face to face to him . It's like the shadow is telling him that it was the beginning him and it will be the end of him. He also says ( WON'T FALL ON MY FACE, WON'T FALL ON MY FAITH, WON'T FALL ON MY FATE ) I love how he worded that.

In Not Afraid he promises that he's putting beef behind him and instead only going to focus on his family and his role as a father. The bar means that anyone listening to Kamikaze would think that Eminem somehow forgot he's made that promise on Not Afraid.
The song is called "Fall", not Fallen. But anyway, so far you are the best at breaking down the lyrics and the meaning behind them. The other channels don't to good job at doing this. I am a new subscriber and would like to see more lyric break down videos. :)

The video actually offers some double meanings to the lyrics. Like when he's saying I was here before you and I'll be here after, he's in front of a mirror with the presumably slim shady figure on the reflection talking to him. This could mean Slim is what made eminem, so who is he get to rid of Slim. That's one of many btw.

Then the last wall he breaks through the shadow approaches him as he just remember I was here before you double Slim Shady telling Em I was here before I made you then also Em talking to the rappers coming after him.
