You can sidechain the 808 to the kick so it will duck to the kick when it hits. You can also do a dynamic EQ and lower the clashing frequencies. Another thing you can do is just look for a puncher kick. When it comes to getting dirty 808s, increase the distortion; this will most likely increase the high end also, just make sure to EQ that out. Hope that helps 🤷‍♀️☺️
