Omg What a year this has been. It's been almost a year since I vidded these two, and how I missed them.
Last year, after the finale, I was so angry, with everyone involved with the show. I was pissed with Nina for leaving the show on the first opportunity she had without a second thought for the fans who had been supporting her on the show from the beginning, and without considering how devasted everyone would be if Elena died and Delena died along with her.
Then I was pissed with Ian and some of the comments he said not only against Elena but Delena and the fans as well.
And then I was pissed with the writers for the way they poorly wrote Elena and Delena's storyline in season 6, in a stupid attempt to erase Elena from the main storylines since they knew she wouldn't be around during season 7. Which ended up not giving Elena the respectful and developed goodbye she deserved.
So yeah, I was so pissed it completely took a tool on my ability to vid. Not only Delena but in general.
But the episode 7x10 was really Damon heavy and finally brought back some of the emotions I used to have for the show and made me remember all the things I feel about Delena and reminded me that no matter what happened, I still love these two very much.
So yeah, it soothed some of the anger I felt for the show in this last year.
I'm not sure if I'm back for good and I'll start vidding regularly, but this was my way of letting go of that anger and hopefully this will help me to start vidding them again.

This is super beatiful, it portrays Delena's love story perfectly. It reminded me why I fell for them in the first place. But yeah, I am also mad at the show for ruining a couple as beautiful and powerful like them. 7x10 is the only episode of this season which made me feel something, but this whole Damon burnt Elena and dropped not a single tear is just ridiculous. So I guess I am mad at the show again.
+eling 21 I completely agree with everything you said. I've been so mad with the show. But 7x10 was like the good old times. And then yeah, 7x11 got back to their poorly written episodes all over again. As if Damon would ever react so well and calmly to the fact that he just killed Elena for good. And Stefan was back to his usual douche bag self with the whole "I will only be happy without Damon in my life." And the whole baby shower...
But well, I'm just trying to let go of the anger I've been feeling for the show so I'll just apreciate the few Delena scenes we get until the finale when hopefully Elena will come back.

7x11 scene with "burning Elena's body" made no sense to me whatsoever. It was like stupidest attempt to "erase Elena from the main storylines". Like, for real? Damon burning the love of his life while hallucinating & then peacefully returning home & drinking bourbon? Really? Damon we all know would never be like that. He would never accept the death of his love like that. Like EVER! If Elena died, for real, forever, he would be devastated. He would just lose his mind.
The only way I can explain the reaction he had in 7x11 would be if he's in denial, like he told himself it was just another hallucination. This is the only way I can make sense to what happen.
(which, btw, I pretty sure was a hallucination). I just don't believe writers would "get rid of Elena" so easily & poorly. I don't think they would made a mistake like that. They are not that stupid. Well, I hope.
Anyways, as for the video. It's fantastic! Loved every second of it!
I think he was in shock. She isn't completely erased from the storyline because in the flash forward they were in matching coffins and he told Stefan not to wake him up until Elena was awake.
+TheVolterra13 Damon didn't burn her because in 7.01 flash forwards he says to Stefan: "I told you not to bother me until Elena was awake" - so she's alive. Maybe he burned her only in his hallucinations.
moiraine25 I remember that as well, that's why the whole "burning scene" was such a shock to me.
+moiraine25 Even if she is alive, Damon is acting ooc. I mean, he really thinks he burnt her, yet his reaction was not what I expected. He was more shocked the episode before, when Lily died tan when he burnt Elena.
+eling 21 I believe he really hasn't let sink in what he did. In the promo he says'' You've ever done something so horrific you couldn't even look at yourself in the mirror " and we know how is Damon when he has to pretend something so he couldn't even confess what he has done to his brother it was more the shock that had him in that mood
Oh how I missed your Delena videos! This is so absolutely perfect - as always! Especially how you used the Damon/Lily scene in an 'Elena background'. I love it, just like I love all your videos.

this video gave me chills tbh and made me realize how much i miss these two. and i agree with everything said in your description; the way nina's leaving was handled was beyond shitty when ELENA is and always has been the main protagonist. no matter if damon & stefan officially share that position in promos etc. it has always been elena's story mostly and i just wish they would have ended the show with s6 and her departure. hopefully nina will return for one or more eps this season so we'll get closure and delena ofc get their happy ending. sorry, i'm ranting! :D anyway, your video is beautiful and so powerful honestly, so i'm gonna hit that replay button a couple of times now.

this is SO PERFECT. I was mad at Nina at first too but with how Ian was acting towards her and etc I don't blame her but she's coming back and if DE isn't endgame it'll be Ian's fault because he's turned into a jerk IMHO. but this vid is so gorgeous!! and I disagree about s6, the start till 6x17 was good, it was actually my 2nd fave DE season tbh, I thought it was better than s4/s5 and I only watched three episodes of s7 because there is no TVD without Elena or DE so yeah NO. I'm WATCHING s8 because it's the last but also because Nina said she was 100% up to coming back for the finale and JP has LITERALLY said she is too...if DE isn't endgame I s2g!!!!

+Misslill15 Hmm nah.. I don't like it to be honest, it doesn't have the same heart the show used to have. It doesn't give me the same emotions and passion I used to feel for the show. Without Elena, TVD isn't the same. Though the exception to that is episode 7x10, that episode was like one of their good old episodes. But other than that... sadly, it's not the same..
In my opinion, Season 6 was already weak... But that's because the writers didn't give Elena a lot of storyline and kind of pushed her away to give more spotlight to other characters because they knew she wouldn't be around this season. So, they ended up not giving Elena the goodbye storyline she deserved, with development and respect and emotion.
This season is even worse in that aspect.. it lacks the feelings the other seasons had. It lacks Elena.
+Naphie88 well yes I Agree season 6 was weak and when i found out Nina Was leaving the show I felt like the show Was Done. I guess thats why I have not seen season 7. TVD Was amazing 1-3 and I Was excited Every episode. 4-5 Was good but the show Did not give me the same emotion as it used to. Still good. And Season 6 Was like a countdown for Elena leaving. I dont know why they Did not end the show at s 6 when Jeremy and Tyler left as well.
