So many people just love to ridicule this movie, so it's rare to find a reviewer who actually understands its significance. The Spice Girls had Spice World, Michael Jackson had Moonwalker, and Prince had Purple Rain. Cool as Ice was no different. Academy Award winner Janusz Kaminski provided the amazing cinematography. Then you have the outlandish costume designs of Ingrid Ferrin, who handled the wardrobe needs for Joel Schumacher’s Batman films, but a guy named Baba made the graffiti on Vanilla Ice' wardrobe. I honestly thought that Rob (Vanilla Ice) looked more like a fashion model than a rapper. Idk a whole lotta rappers who could unintentionally strike a pose (Zoolander style) and look effortlessly chic like Rob. Eminem looks like an M&M's in comparison. Sometimes a so-called "bad" movie might not seem so bad, it just depends on who's watching it. Vanilla Ice fans love this movie and it was never made for the critics to disparage. It only takes the proper lens to focus on what really matters.
