    Good one Mike. Thanks for the mention. FYI The guy in your audience that mentioned the possibility of the chatter tool fracturing was on the right track. I have had them fracture on me after a bit of use but can't see any real danger in it.

    Just curious. Why don't you have the belt on that lathe set to the slower speed? wouldn't it give you better torque when turning? I have the same lathe and hardly ever put it on the faster speed. Did you just have it there for convenience? or is it your personal preference?

      +Bertminator You don't need more torque for the work I was showing. Also, the lower belt at higher speeds is noiser which is a distraction during a demo.

    Before you post these for wide public viewing, edit out the sweeping pans, the out of focus zooms, etc. Makes for a FAR BETTER Demo and info package!

      I think you could use anything but the big Sorby spiraling texturing system. It would just take some practice.
