I’m very excited to see that Perfecting will finally be able to finish completing their new building ,I can’t imagine how stressful it must be to go through something like that
Not once did i hear "I'm asking 2,100 of my members to send $2,100 to help build my church" It's quite possible that Pastor Winans did ask for donations from the members, such as a Building Fund. However i don't believe Pastor Winans would tax his members for an unreasonable figure as $2,100 from each member.
Assuming Pastor Winans' church has 5,000 members. He mentioned a 17 million dollar loan (more debt). Do the math. $17 million / 5,000 = $3,400 per member. If his church holds 6,000 members, that comes to $2,833.33 per member.......and we haven't taken the interest on the loan into account. God doesn't need a house. He doesn't dwell in temples made with hands Acts 17:24-25.
God said, "Build Me a house?" But, God never said that house would be for the Perfecting Church congregation. Or, maybe God actually said, "Build My house.", meaning build up My sheep.
This is what I don't get. Why not build people and install pastors over many churches instead of spending 17 million on one sanctuary? I get the vision...he wants to impact the community in Detroit but I'm split on this.
@@kingsagenda I get what you're saying. If you have a sizeable congregation, you should have a sizeable amount of ministers and elders to lead individual churches.
True. The word pastor appears only once in the entire new testament. In reality a pastor/bishop is basically just another elder. The New Testament leadership model used a plurality of elders. No single person was "The Pastor." The group of elders shepherded the church as a unit and the church as a whole was submitted to one another. The modern church in the western world especially in the U.S.A. is more like a corporation with a CEO. Jesus told the disciples that leaders among the saints should not be like leaders in the world.
You can’t confuse what you want for what God said. You can’t confuse a good idea with a good vision! This ain’t good………if you ain’t got the money, don’t build! Black folks gotta learn this. It’s good to pray but you need to be able to PAY 😩🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

What you are stating definitely sounds more like what Paul stated in 2 Timothy 2:2
Right you are 😩🤷🏾♂️
