Aaron, your TH-cam channel is a blessing! I have an upcoming speech where I am invited back to my high school to give a speech in the year 12's graduation event and dang, when I can't think of anything else to write, your TH-cam channel is where I go to. Every. Single. Time. I feel so connected with you through your videos and certainly, I feel blessed!
Great video as always, I suggest you try making use of hashtags in the description (like #publicspeaking or #tips ) and creating shorts of these videos (like a small clip and use of #shorts in the description). This works great with the TH-cam algorithm.
Wow wow wow Aaron. I think I'm in love.. with your content! Hahah. Everything you shared is on point. Ok, I have one thing to do now: record myself, record myself, record myself. And may I add that your editing skills are INSANE!!! You ROCK!! woohoo!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Hi Aaron, I just won my area humour contest which was my goal for this year... and I'm not even funny! Im not expecting to go much further.... because Im not funny. But it was amazing that I knew what I was doing (or trying to do) up there. Now to improve my actual skills through practice. Thanks to you and your content over the last year.
Dylan, to be honest with you, I was told very early in my speaking journey that humor was not my thing....it's a skill that you develop just like any other part of your public speaking skills. I do however, suggest that you work on making the best speech possible. If you don't have humor then double down on strong points and storytelling.
I like your point about taking feedback from people you trust. I once heard Meryl Streep advise against taking advice from someone who doesn't understand your art. A lot of people have opinions, but not everyone actually knows where you are trying to go, so instinct and vetting does matter!
Hey Aaron, I am loving your videos! They make infinitely more sense than all of the others out there. I have a local public speaking contest coming soon but I don’t know what to talk about. Can you please make a video about choosing speech topics🙏
Speaking of faster ... do you have any tips about clock management? When I rehearse in front of my stopwatch, my timing is perfect. The same speech without watching the clock usually goes about a minute over. I was thinking of recording myself, but do you have any other tricks?
Recording yourself and comparing your pace with a timer vs. without a timer is actually the best answer. That way you can hear for yourself where you are speaking slower than anticipated.
Sometimes I do....It depends how I feel when editing. If you need the visuals, I would suggest turning on the captions for anything that you'd want to clarify via text.
Let's go my man
Quality video mate💪💯
He has mad editing skills!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thanks!
Thankyou very much Aaron 😇!
Thank you for watching, my friend.

Glad to know that I could help, Jansen. I’m glad that you can find the value in this content. Best of luck with your speech.

Aaron this is all great advice but you forgot to mention one important thing: Record yourself!
Hahahah. Oh, right, he omitted that one!!
@@pattypatsspeakingjourney yes exactly! Guess he forgot.
LOL Dang it you're right.....I'll remember next time 😄
Love the Circle of Council.
Glad you liked the tip. Circle of council is one of my favorite filters for feedback.
Having led a PR company for a decade, I can attest that enhancing your public speaking skills swiftly is a game-changer in our industry.

TM feedback like life advice 👀
You should add text while telling main tips .
