YOUTH GROUP SONG FROM PAPU NALLAH SECTOR
The 16th Merry Christmas celebration, organized by Golgotha Baptist Church, Papu Nallah, Yupia Pastoral Range, NBCC, was held from 23rd December 2024 to 25th December 2024. The event was centered on the theme from Luke 2:11: "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a savior, who is Christ the Lord," symbolizing the joy and hope brought by the birth of Christ. The church congregation, with the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee led by Chairman Shri Tarh Takar, Treasurer Shri Dugi Kapa, and Secretary Shri Tarh Tapung, ensured the celebration was both grand and meaningful.
Miss Likha Yallar, Principal of Calvary English School, Yachuli, served as the Christmas speaker. Her heartfelt and inspiring message emphasized the spiritual significance of Christ’s birth, touching the hearts of the congregation and strengthening their faith. The celebration brought church members together in worship, gratitude, and fellowship, fostering unity and devotion among all participants.
Adding to the spiritual essence, vibrant cultural performances enriched the event. Group songs, group dances, and an exhilarating triple dance by both youth and general participants were conducted smoothly under the leadership of Culture In-Charges Mrs. Khyoda Rupchi and Mrs. Dongda Yatu, who ensured the activities were organized in an engaging and meaningful manner.
In addition to cultural programs, literary activities such as Bible quizzes, extempore speeches, Bible reading in Nyishi, Bible verse recitations, and quick Bible verse finding competitions captivated attendees of all ages. Sports activities were also a major highlight, fostering excitement and camaraderie. Games such as volleyball, blind hit, sack race, balloon game, music game, and water game were organized under the leadership of Brother Tara Yarda Duri, Secretary of the Children Education Department. These activities brought joy and unity, fostering teamwork and community spirit.
The event witnessed an impressive attendance of over 1,200 people, all gathering to glorify God and celebrate the joyous occasion. Heartfelt prayers, hymns, cultural performances, literary contests, and sports activities left a lasting impression of joy, unity, and faith. Brother Hillang Kapa, the Media In-Charge and Sector Pastor of 2 Killo since 2016, played a pivotal role in documenting the event. His dedication ensured every precious moment was captured in photos and videos, serving as a timeless reminder of God’s glory and the joy of the celebration.
With such collective efforts and a shared spirit of devotion, the 16th Merry Christmas celebration truly embodied the essence of Christmas, uniting the congregation in faith, fellowship, and the love of Christ. Amen!
