I think he's one of the most impressive lifters to ever press 700 lbs. No leg drive, No arch, yet he manages to do it. What an incredible athlete. RIP sir.
@Waldel Martell Without a doubt he was an amazing bencher and a true inspiration. But, he never pressed 700 pounds or more in competition. That's just a fact.
@@KillianDefaoite he's stalling it at his chest. He's not using 6inches of fat springboarding it up like the current record holder. Go lift once and see how hard that is without momentum. Oh and his legs are missing.
If he had working legs maybe he wouldn't have been a powerlifter at all. You see, different types of inferiority works as catalyst for compensation. This how most champions are born.
Any statement, especially regarding the "best" at anything, is completely void and useless when it starts with "if". If he had legs he might have been the best; he might not; he might not have lifted at all. Pointless to make comparisons with things that aren't comparable/testable.
@@littlethuggie Except that even without legs he still has one of the highest benches of all time disabled or not with a 705 raw bench in training.Leg drive is an automatic 30+ on the bench and that’s pretty much Julius Maddox levels of strong.I see what you’re saying, but when a disabled person benches just as much as the top valid lifters,it’s safe to say he would’ve been the best.
@@sethrichardson4116 It’s not that he had no technique it’s that bench press technique requires you to have legs, the only thing he can do technique wise is retract his scapulas and grip the bar as hard as possible
Larsen press is usually about 90% of the bench press, so with leg drive, that last lift would be 320/0,9=356kg, what is roughly the same as the current world record of Julius Maddox.
6:20 that must have been such an amazing feeling to represent your country and lift that weight despite the obstacles and shortcomings and with such a supportive home audience cheering you as you create history. Rest In Peace Siamand, a true inspiration.
He's the strongest presser without legs. That's it. No need trying to "if" things to death or figure out "greatest of all time" when it's not something you can test.
The leg drive has never (I believe) been scientifically proven to aid in bench press push. However, the fact that there is no usage of the legs means an archless lift, which makes it impressive beyond belief.

He never pressed 700. His best competition lift is 310kg(683lbs).
@@KillianDefaoite the dude regularly did it. He hit upper 600's for doubles. He was also tested regularly.

That awesome man. Keep on grinding 💪
@@TheGripMuse Thanks bro 💪💪
No leg drive
No hand-off
No shirt / wrist wraps
No arch
No joke - extremely impressive, pushing that kind of weight

he is the greatest bencher!
For sure. Could have been a consistent 750+ presser without a doubt.

That is phenomenal! Aside from not using legdrive and arch, he even UNRACKED the weight without the help of the spotters! RIP to that legend!
That is some insane upper body strength
One of the most impressive benchers ever
RIP. He was special.
Strongest presser in history!!!
The best bench press lifter of all time a clean and raw lift and despite his disability
No legdrive, no bridge , almost no technique, raw power ..ITs like doing a larsen press with 320kg, probably strongest presser in history
Can’t say almost no technique lol. My man had technique. Shame he passed tho. Dude was hands down one of the best benchers ever.

Rip siamand🇮🇷... the best bench presser in the world

Siamand Rahman was the best bencher in the world, Better than Maddox and the others. The drive is much more cleaner and he has to take out the bar.
👀👀 He is amazing! #Respect
Amazing pure strength!!!
His wrists/forearms were huge.
He is in my opinion the best bencher or at least darn close of all time
ес
I still hold Kirill Sarychev as the top bencher. To be able to permit such perfect form while lifting such weight is nothing short of astonishing.
Legend
Amazing human with some crazy strength up there.
Because of his legs he always benches high on the chest. It's entirely possible to claim he could hit 1000lb with use of the rest of his body
VERY STRONGER😱💪👌
