Notice at the beginning the green car is catching up to the white one, and as it gets close the system automatically keeps the cars in their lanes until either car is far enough ahead that it can redirect them both onto the 'racing line' again. Neat! It looks like something can be programmed to happen with the pit lane too.

when I was a teenager, my sister used to work for a swiss distributor of carrera tracks and got parts for free which were used for display. I then built the monaco circuit and later the old longer interlagos circuit in our basement in a 4x5m room. I habe been loving to play with it for years, but it was nothing compared to this gem.
Very, very cool indeed! the way you have integrated the racing line with the digital system here is nothing short of genius. I bet this really does provide some great racing due to the singular style of racing lines on most of the track, just like the real Monaco - 10 out of 10 rating.
I wish I still had all of my Tyco track! My mother put most of my toys in storage to save for me for purposes of nostalgia, collectibles, or to pass on to my children. I'm not sure which, probably some combination of all three, but she failed to save any of my Tyco slot car accessories (70+ feet of track, pair of loop-de-loops, a jump section, a glow-in-the-dark bendable track section, along with several vehicles, and a few motorcycles). She did manage to save my N scale model train items which was rather small, especially compared to what I had in HO scale which she also failed to save. Go figure that the toys I would probably play with today if I still possessed them, are the ones she did not save for me. I don't know why. Oh well, I still love you, mom!!!

Probably silly question but how these "switches" (the thing where you change the line) actually works? Driver needs to switch them? Or is it somehow automatic?
I have just had a look at the web site who makes these circuits and they say the switching is automatic when a challenger gets close to the car in front then it switches to the inside or parallel track until the overtake is completed.
Sehr schöne Anlage. Da hat sich mal jemand Mühe gegeben und die Dekoration nicht vernachlässigt. Solch einen Raum muß man natürlich auch erst einmal haben. Toll!!
Can I brag about my old track? I had an 8 lane 1/24 Carrera road course track. All lanes had 1/32nd scale Nascars. All cars had an extra slot guide pin on the rear that I custom installed on each car. . So each car had a guide pin front and back. Each car would have a different speed and ran the track automatically. All cars started at the start line., some set to moderate speed others set to fast. Then I had one lane open with a car that only had only a front guide pin to race against the other bot cars. It was so fun and challenging. Be CAREFUL sliding your rear out on the curves in traffic!!! So fun! SO MUCH TRAFFIC TO NAVIGATE YOUR WAY THROUGH!!!. The best track ever for one person racing.
So in the serpentine section, do the cars normally stay in the left or right lane and the driver has to steer rapidly to use the shorter, racing line slot? Or is the quicker racing line slot the "default" and the user has to steer to stay in the left or right lane if there are two cars side by side? Anyone know, I'm really curious. This is awesome by the way, good job. Looks really fun. Damn, I'll never have the money or space for everything I want. lol
@@Spekulantoss Are you sure? How does it change lanes then? I thought these systems send digital signals through the power to the individual cars. If they're on one track and there's an option to go to the other track there has to be a way to tell it to do that besides just throttle. I think you might be thinking of older systems.

Hi Sillage, I love your version of Monaco, with the BLST lane changing system...It works perfect on your course and your lane designs imitates the actual passing spots at Monaco. I have a 67' analog three lane MDF routed replica of Monaco that I have had races on since 2009 that I am converting into a digital/analog track with Scorpius hardware to allow for passing lanes and working pits. In the meantime, I have used squeeze lanes to simulate the restricted passing on the Monaco circuit, as BLST wasn't common knowledge during my track's construction. I would like to know where you got the specific Monaco background scenic images for your poster board track edging. I have tried to find similar images for my track but have been unable to find a similar continuous image to print out. I would appreciate your help in locating Monaco's background images. Thank you for the inspiration. Gene.
Got this from their site: "All cars are folloing the racing line and when a chalenger become too close to its leader, it take the risk to devert on the inner lane to try to overtake. Cars are driving side by side until one take the lead"
Sainte Devote should be a sharper corner but other than that, this is one extremely impressive layout! 😳 Whomever built this should build a scale version of Spa Francorchamps! Monaco is the tightest track on the F1 calender, Spa is a classic long, high-speed track. That would be fun! 🙂
Awesome! Thanks for sharing it. What kind of track do you use? Are hand made in wood? What kind of digital system? Thank you very much and congratulations. My regards from Spain
