great video I like your unbiased opinion and have heard great things about the xp the thing I like about minelabs and pulse machines though is just the total number of freq I feel you will not only get greater depth but number of finds will increase do to the increase in operating freq the ctx has proved herself to me I feel as if it is tweaked toward gold and deep silver!!
Yes I agree. I am not expecting the XP to beat the pants off the multi-freq CTX or a pulse machine. I'll admit I was a bit wary of even bringing it because I know on its first release the XP was NOT very good in salt water saturated conditions. Thankfully one of their free updates helped improve things in that regard substantially. I still haven't given it a full run in the wet stuff but I may do it in the next day or two. I should bring my CTX with me to compare signals side by side but I don't plan on lugging two machines around. :) If I see you or another CTX user out there, I'll come over to compare notes. I have to keep in mind however that the machine is still very new to me so I know for sure that I am not yet capable of squeezing out its top performance out of it. Might take a year before I felt comfortable enough to claim that.
I use the deus on Australian saltwater beaches, it works very well for me. I use 95 sensitivity in the soaking wet sand, and only a few chirps....it goes deep!
Nice Tim. great assessment.
