Gel and polygel does the same with shrinkage. People say in other videos to use a bigger size that way it shrinks to the perfect size... Do you ever do strictly gel or poly gel press-ons. im testing all the ways out now. I have to perfect my acrylic application.
Hello i been a nail tech for 15 years. started doing acrylic pressons. The problem in having is the the press on nail no longer fits after it is done......😢 they enlarge. Ive only done for my self and im getting discouraged. What do you suggest?
Hi! ❤️ if they are enlarging you are letting too much of the acrylic set on the sides or could be applying too much. Be sure you are filing the sides back in as well & try applying a little less acrylic & shaping the sides with your brush to keep the shape/size during acrylic application. Hope that helps 🫶🏽

Have you done any nails with builder gel and paint? I use builder gel on soft gel full extensions and as soon as the nails are cured it shrinks. They seem like they still fit but I have to apply a pressure to get them down on my nail bed. I have only used acrylic as my adhesive so it wasnt as tight. I wanted to make a set for someone else but I'm concerned the shrinking will make it uncomfortable to wear as she would be using glue. Thank you for any advice you might have 🧡

Does these tips fit wider nail beds ? I have the 3xl tips from Amazon and they look juss like those and they don’t fit thumbs .
Probably not. They do run on the smaller side . I usually have to use another/custom make a tip for my girls with wider thumbs 💕

Hiii 💖💖 they’re not supposed to be soft. They should be as hard as a regular acrylic nail.

Hello 💗 thank you , no I do not file or buff the tips prior. When doing acrylic you go not need to but if you are doing gel only yes you need to.
When doing press on with acrylic, do you have to buff the nails before applying acrylic or is it just buffing when you do gel polish?

Hey love ❤️ I’ve only ever done a regular gel set once for myself & they fit before & after curing. I’ve never done builder gel I’m sorry.

You have to use ABS tips, that fit flat to the nail plate 😘
