When I was a kid in the '70s, my older sister worked at a movie theater, which had this game in the lobby. One day, I went to work with her and the manager's kids, who were about my age, happened to be there. They had pried the sheet metal on the back of the head back just far enough to reach the credit wheel. We played that game all afternoon! I have always wanted one since that day. Unfortunately, I have never seen one in the wild since. Someday maybe... :)

1:48 nothing more classic sounding than a Bally EM era click/start up sound

This is the game that got me hooked on pinball when I was in college back in the 70's. I met the designer, Jim Patla, at an AMOA convention at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago years ago and he told me that he wanted to design a game with only one pop bumper. Well, he did and he did it beautifully. The shots are simple, the playfield layout is clean, the artwork is great, and it's not overly complicated like today's games. Bally was known for making asymmetrical games back then but I love the symmetry on this one. The only thing that I would have done differently is that I would have used this theme on their 4-player version instead of the theme they used on Boomerang which was the 4-player counterpart.

There was a Flicker machine that was the first to have a Microprocessor, but there was only one of those produced.
