The film was fully human, engaging, warm, pulled you in, and empathy-inducing. Jacob Fortune-Loyed gave a sterling performance-he almost did not act-he was Brian. The music was ageless and wonderful.
I'm the same, I enjoyed it more than I was expecting to, which was a nice surprise. I think the second half is slower than the first, so it started to loose it's grip on me then. But I guess as it's a film of a man behind the scenes, the subject matter may contribute to it feeling slower and quieter than other biopics as biopics tend to be on those at the flashy front. I think the actors who played the beatles did a really good job of capturing their essence.
I like the film but being a Beatles fan, the height of the actor, playing John Lennon, was a big distraction, considering Lennon was the same height as McCartney!
@ I so wanted to like it, I just found myself cringing, with so many factual errors & many of the actors that were so miscast, I couldn’t wait for it to finish, being a mega Beatles freak I feel disappointed & what with the ridiculously stoopid idea of releasing the inferior USA albums over here, it hasn’t been a good year

Seen the film and think that your review is very good. I also liked the way the film was made using various technics and that the focus was on Brian.
Thank you! Yes, agree with your comment on the technics. Well handled and there for a reason.
Really enjoyed your review. Fair and kind. Thank you. Brigit Grant. It means a lot.
Thank you Brigit! Congratulations on your work here. Very enjoyable movie. Best wishes x
