I met bill nye at a party in seattle once and i can say that wthout a doubt he was the biggest jerk I've ever met in my life. He was extremely weird in a bad way. he's funny on TV, but I'd never want to be in a room with him again
Well not every person is oh so happy when random people they don't know walk up and start acting like they know them. I can tell you I am a little like that, a lot of creative people are. We get really wigged out in that sort of environment. I have to really psych myself up to go to a party like that in the first place. So no hating because he's not as extroverted as you.
@OliverWitherspoon why do people keep saying that? Is he just overly silly and cartoonish? smug? A pretentious showoff? Standoffish? I just can't picture him as a mean guy.
@jekblom123 I was at a private party at El Goucho in Seattle. The cast of Almost Live was there (the show where he got his start), a friend of mine was a producer of the show so I was one of his guests to this party. Bill had just won his big award and was sitting next to me at the bar and I turned to him and said, "congratulations Bill" Well without ever even looking me in the eye he told me off and literaly shoed me away with his hand as if to say, "go away pion" I was stunned. He's an ASS!
This was one of my favorite experiments on his show.
I'm going to start covering my possessions with yellow and black tape.
Bill is just the greatest xD
Search this: "This happens when you don't properly vent a storage tank " for an even more incredible example!
"Bill, bill, bill, Bill Nye the science guy! Biiiiiiilllll Nnnnnnyyyyyyye" ah. He should be a children's party entertainer! :)
bill got mad when his paint thinner can didn't work LIVE lol
