The technique takamura describes for a cross is accurate, however ippo executes it wrong. You don't want to topple over like throwing a baseball; rather, you want to hit the target exactly when or shortly before your front foot touches the groun again.
Nope, there's no correct way to throw the cross. A good example would be pacquiao's front leg pivot cross, it doesn't just touches the ground before punching it literally uses the front leg to pivot and sends your momentum forward like a rocket. (Edit : but I can see your point about him almost leaning to the ground ) Also, don't forget that ippo is a beginner learning to even power punch correctly. Teaching him to do this gross summary of cross is an effective way to teach him how power is generated from a punch and it's up to himself to hone the punch itself.
@@ttchme9816 Yeah but Pacqiao uses them when he needs them, and knows what he's doing. As long as you know what you're doing, it's ok to deviate from classic teaching, but there's a reason crosses are taught the way I described.

Sendo was going to fight Ricardo after winning his fight against Alfredo, but plans changed as the world featherweight champion accepted a challenge from 3rd rank world featherweight Wally. Right now, Wally is about to spar against Volg Zangief. Regarding Ricardo accepting a challenge from Wally, despite promising to fight Sendo after he won against Alfredo, I think it has to do with a few factors. One, Sendo injured his fist against Alfredo, so he may be giving him time to recover, much to the Naniwa Tiger's chagrin. Second, Wally is an instinctive fighter who is growing into his potential, much like Sendo has. This match would help Ricardo prepare him in his fight against Sendo, assuming Wally doesn't cause an upset. Finally, all the aforementioned boxers have a common thread linking them together. Sendo, Wally, and Alfredo all fought against Ippo (he beat Sendo twice and Wally once, but Alfredo gave him his second loss). Ricardo is growing interested in him and is trying to figure out what kind of boxer he was through his opponents. Love the last part! XD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's the modern reincarnation of seiya from Saint seiya.
Takamura: Bruh, I never said you had to catch the ten leaves with only one hand.
hahahahah
I love the emphasis they put on the feet. That's the most important part of throwing a good punch.
Bill lupin other than moving your arm
Nah. If you only use your arm, you get a weak sauce punch. The kind of punch that a dude can no-sell.
Well if you don't move your arm you wont be able to hit anyone because the part that strikes isnt extended.
I do agree with what you say though lol
The power of punches come from the shoulder and hips. Though, to fully engage your body into the punch is in the footwork.
Full-Auto Potato true power comes from the legs.
Dude I miss this anime
From "I'm weak", "How to do proper jabs?" To " What does it mean to be stronk>:0", " This is the Final Dempsey Rolluuuu >:∆"
3:20 he BOXED out that machine right there
The cut at the end was perfect
Actually I'm enjoying this Anime ❤️
a Legend Is Born All thanks to Takamura
I can't tell if his voice actor is an old man pretending to be a kid or a kid pretending to be an old man...
I would love to see Ippo vs Little Mac
Well a One Minute Melee exists of it
The ending gets me everytime
Ippo's definitely a fast learner
Because of hajine no ippo i see boxing in different ways
Ippo punches
Sound barrier: oh fck
haha the last part tho
Last one is a crazy punch😁😂😂😂
This is the only time ippo trained his Jabs
Ippo is a fast learner
Ippo's best KO was against that vending machine.
Does anybody know the ost playing in the background.00:42
The manga already has over 1300 chapter and is still ongoing
I completely forgot about the last one oh god
After the scene with the leaves takamura said
Hit my hand - or something like that I can't remember
Ippo jabs and jabs ubtil takamura kicked him
He has a good form of kicking for a boxer
because Takamura is a brawler before a boxer... this was stated a few times during his match with Hawk.
icynok
Yeah i know this was before i finished season 1 and had shit spelling
