Renaissance Plaza Water Feature - White Plains, New York - Crystal Fountains

The City of White Plains, New York was looking for a way to revitalize its downtown core, choosing an old, overgrown park surrounded by high rise buildings as a centerpiece and gathering place for this ambitious project.Its goal was to attract people, investment, renovation, and development to the area. Landscape architecture firm, Sasaki Associates designed a one-of-a-kind musical fountain that draws people right into the heart of downtown. The fountain has a regular schedule of water shows programmed to 20 different songs. During quiet times, the fountain provides a unique urban setting that encourages people to sit, relax, and enjoy the site. The plaza has quickly become a civic landmark for the city, as there are already 1,700 units of new residential housing under construction in the surrounding area.
