I learned so much about being a parent and what NOT to do;the things that affected me in a hurtful way, helped me to be a better parent. My husband had a better childhood and he was a good partner for me in raising children. I made mistakes, sure. I have asked each of my four children if I had hurt them in some way and what it was and apologized. I let them know as I did throughout their childhood, how much I loved them. They have had their problems, sure;but as adults they are all successful adults and are better parents than I ever was. So proud! What a thoughtful man Simon Baker is. Men like him are good husbands and good fathers. My husband is a similar man.
I like this man. He is smart. And getting wiser year after year. Can't wait to see "Breath".

Finally an interviewer that lets Simon speak! Watched quite a few female interviewers who talks and talks and giggles (and I have an idea why, heh). This is great, calm and wonderful. A bit late to the party, but only heard about this movie now, in 2024. Looking forward to find it and watch it. Thank you!
50-60's surfing ... the major fear was about others discovering your favorite spot ... it keeps evolving whether we like it or not ... I appreciate what Simon has brought to this once outsider sport ... he sets a great example ... is very humanly honest with kindness & class ... great interview ... mahalos!

I love this interview! I just watched the movie and it was so much like my childhood memories of Surfers at Cronulla Beach in Sydney. The questions from the Interviewer are very interesting and bringing out the best answers from Simon Baker. He is very attentive and actually listening to the answers and conversing with Simon, instead of just literally asking questions! Very well done!

I Loved this film.Have read the book. Simon Baker has directed and acted extremely well.Photography is wonderful as is the young actors. One can feel the rhythm of life that ‘Breath’ represents. Surfing is a metaphor for Life and Natural Human cycles. Brilliant. Can’t wait until the next film directed by this Wonderful Actor.

I really enjoyed this interview listening to Simon Baker and his reflections on life.
Loved Breath and the way he let the two young actors take center of the movie. Though he easily could’ve taken all shine and attention, it seemed to me as if he made a big effort out of NOT to - both as an incredible actor and director/producer🫶

I was going to watch this anyway, but him talking about notions of masculinity and how we define it (and hopefully give the term more freedom and room to breathe now than in the past) has completely piqued my curiosity. It's such a delight when an actor who plays a character you love ends up surpassing the character and cementing your fondness for the real person instead.
What a wonderful movie and it was amazing to see on the big screen. Sweet, profound, memorable.

Walked out just looked like a movie about sexual abuse of a minor. Thought it was beautiful up to the scene of the belt and the young boy being talked into a very seedy sex act. Could not watch anymore 😞
