yes,this is perfect procedure for hard reset,it will not upgrade your OS ,it will just make your phone new,like you just bought your phone.It will erase all application,contacts,sms...the OS will be the same as it was earlier

After charging for hours, I think it is gonna be full so I switched it on while still charging on the wires. Then, the PROBLEM occurred - my phone won't be turned on and was frozen on the start up screen. I've tried your hard reset, but it doesn't work !!! Then, I took the battery out, then back in and it switches on but is still stuck on the start up screen.
