    thanks for the compliments ! The handle bars were bought from ebay (USA) and are 7/8" Buck Horn style. You need this diameter tubing to fit the AJS throttle controls. The stock bars reduce to that thickness, but are thicker in middle to allow for concealed wires. No such option with the Buck Horns. One thing to note is that mirror vibration is drastically reduced with these handlebars, probably because there is slightly more flex to them. Cheers, Tony

    William, the air filter was just 2x K&N clone filters off eBay and a T section pipe fitting I bought at a hardware store (actually for plumbing application but it worked fine for me!) It really is nothing technical, but worked at dream and looked so much better. Cheers, Tony w

    Thanks tony I just read 8 post down and saw where you got the handle bars, I guess it pays to read at least some of the post those are exactly what I want, so I'll try to find me some like I said your bike looks cool and I'm old school, so I really like that look anyway thanks again bro

      Hi Jimmy, thanks for the comments about my bike. I've just finished a xs650 engine swap so it looks different again now. Yes I did change the handlebars about 6 years ago via a USA website which I can't find now, but they are known as 'buck-horn' bars if you want to search for something similar. Significant reduce vibration through the grips as well :)

    Once you change out all the plastic crap they are pretty good for the money.

    hi, yes you will need to re jet the carbs for free flows. I used 105 jets in mine as I live a t sea level. Best to buy either side of the 105s and do some trial and error tuning.

    Cheers, I realise now I should have fired it up for the video. Sounded ok for 300cc, and up to 3000rpm.... after that it screamed a bit much for my liking. However, it has just had a xs650 Yamaha engine dropped in.... Will post a video link to it when I get it back from workshop next month :-)

    tell me what you think of the frame quality and brake quality -- Also - how does it handle on curves and at low speed with that rake? At an auction there's an 883 mounted into this frame and I'd like to know if the strength is there for such an engine.

      Sorry man, I sold this bike years ago! The headlight was called 'vampir' or something, but I bought it ten years ago now !!!

    Did the handle bars come on it? And if so where can I buy just the handlebars? Can you please let me know, I've been looking for some like that all over the place and haven't seen any till these, it would mean a lot to me bro, by the way it's a very nice bike, I have the 250cc spyder but would love to have those handlebars.

    is that where, or why ?? If where, from an AJS dealer in UK. If why, cos it was going cheap and I had a few ideas for it. Not everyone's cup'o tea, but I like it. Currently transplanting a xs650 yamaha engine into it. This should make it a little better......

    Did you change the exhaust to a free flow? If so, did you have to tune the carburetor? I bought a Johnny Pag Pro Street and want to change the exhuast to louder ones. I just don't know if I am going to have to adjust/re-jet the carburetor.

    Can I ask you what aftermarket air filter you used, I own the stock setup and can't measure it at home if you know what I mean so trying to find an air filter is an ordeal.

    I have the free flows and better air intakes. I also rejeted. I'm in the process of bobbing mine and really like your rear fender. where did you get that or was it fabricated

    • @BigTvProductions
      @BigTvProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the rear fender is custom. I bought a blank fender and cut it into that shape :)

    • @csbonito
      @csbonito 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      link of the one you bought, I have a spider too, hope to customize it like that one day. One question, are you using double air filters? which ones?

  • @TheChopperferg
    @TheChopperferg 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is superb! Can I ask where you got aftermarket parts please? I've got a stick EOS and want to start chopping it, small at first ie bars, risers, pipes but finding parts is a right bitch.

  • @JordanCole.SaltandLight
    @JordanCole.SaltandLight 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Screw the aftermarket parts questions. Where in the heck did you even buy this bike in the first place?

  • @BigTvProductions
