As someone who grew up with Forces of Valor as a child, I have to give minor corrections on your overview of the history of that brand. Forces of Valor sold pre-built die-cast models in both 1/72 (of which I bought a prodigious amount of with my pocket money back in the day) and *1/32,* not 1/35 as you say in the overview. You are correct in that they did a 1/24 RC tank line, and they also did a model kit line, one of which is the Sherman featured in this video. This was not originally by Walterson’s, they were actually tooled (original moulds, not based on the die-cast moulds at all) by Forces of Valor in their final two years as an independent brand, right before mismanagement and poor profits plunged them into obscurity for the better part of the 2010s. Then, Walterson’s acquired the brand rights, and have done a decent job at revitalising the old moulds on both their die-cast models and their injection-moulded plastic kits. I remember buying their Tiger 1 back when the molds were freshly released back in the early 2010s, buying another example when Walterson’s revitalised the line, and have since bought the KV-2 (correcting a missed opportunity the first time round) and GMC 6-ton truck from that line. All three are really good kits, though the tracks on the KV and Tiger are overtight and require re-enforcement of the idler and sprocket wheels with metal modelling wires, so they don’t bend the wheels at odd angles.
I've never heard of Forces Of Valor or of Waltersons, nor is the 1/72 scale my cup of tea, but your presentation of this kit was enjoyable and informative as always. And John, I know exactly who you were addressing when you said "NEVER spray paint vinyl rubber tracks" 😎😁
