King were robbed in the 80s of there talents by the public who dismissed them most of the time yet i remember seeing them on Top Of The Pops and thinking wow they are one of the best new bands to hit the charts in 84/85. King should have been bigger than they were.

They would have probably lasted longer if the albums had been separated by more than a year! They are so overlooked. The singles weren’t really a true representation of the band and what it was capable of. I love bands like the cure, souxsie, madness but a lot of their albums were full of filler and 3 obvious singles where as King albums were playable all the way through
He became a presenter on VH-1 and MTV and ended up high in management. He keeps a low profile but if you look on line you’ll see he popped up a few years ago at the Fantastic Coventry music museum and did an interview

Steps in Time is a masterful album rich with brilliant song writing. Living in the states, barely anyone I knew had even heard of King.

I am guessing this is early 2000's by the look of the band that is partially what Queen used with Paul Rodgers from 2005 and on
