    This is great! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is shy about these things. Definitely going to share this with my allies to help me out. Thank you!!

    this really helped educate me, and I love to learn more about how different people feel and what I can do/say towards friends and family or anyone going through a time in which they need support and thank you for making this video I'm sure it's helped a lot of people other than me ❤

    While it's always the best policy to be respectful and supportive of your community when making blanket statements or explaining something to non familiar people, using certain terms like the "T", "F", and "Q" word is sometimes welcomed and encouraged, even by folks in the community itself. Of course everyone has boundaries, and until you know where they stand on the issue, someone's approach should be tactful, no doubt.

    Literally at the beginning of it all. Told my Dad, my direct team at work, and set up first counseling session and hopefully going to a support group if my job will let me have the time. Thanks for putting you fears and feelings out there. It certainly is a very weird, and unusual, uncomfortable, but.. sensible experience. I'm wondering if you're the same age as me or not? I'm 25! :]

    Your necklace.. The dragon (i think) in the anchor gold. Exactly what my grandpa had he had passed away on easter of 2015 this year and his belongings had went missing and his necklace he wore every single day he always said he would give it to me. So many memories. I hope one day we can get it back.
    Also i told my mom about my feelings. And wanted to go to a gender therapist. She is struggling with understanding it but said she will help me be happy and love me no matter what

      Celeste Danos the necklace was my grandpa's as well. He passed away in April of 2012, and i've been wearing it ever since. It's an anchor with jesus on the cross on it. along with the lucky Italian horn. And im proud of you for opening up to your mother. That's very brave of you. Congrats and good luck!

      +Jett Taylor i appreciate ur reply. And im sorry for your loss im pretty sure that his had the same thing on it. But i hope one day i could either get one like it or hopefully find it. It was the only thing i wanted to cherish and keep forever (it was expensive too) and thank you it was a hard thing to open up to her because we dont have much of a good relationship. Bad communication but i hope things do get better

    Sometimes if i meet someone and i'm not really sure what their gender is i use they and them, is that bad, should i not do that? i don't really want to make them uncomfortable by asking so i feel like they and them is kind of a neutral pronoun to use. if i hear someone else use a certain pronoun for them ill change it but when i really don't know and its not brought up i don't want to offend them

    • @JettTaylor
      @JettTaylor  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jessy Mae that's EXACTLY what you should do. Good job(:

    Im glad I'm not the only one who finds it weird and uncomfortable with switching pronouns and name. I still haven't even started and don't know where to start.

      TJZiRE maybe have a talk with one of your close friends or your biggest supporter. Recommend them to watch this video? It'll take the awkward act of actually asking them to switch. They should understand from this video what they need to do. One person has to step out of their comfort zone to get the ball rolling

    "therealalexbertie" is a good youtuber for the this stuff if anyone is looking for multiple sources I'd recommend them,I'm really ignorant of the LGBT community but I really want to learn,sadly my Autism makes me a tad blunt though which isn't a good combination,I have friends in the LGBT community and they're some of the kindest people I know.
