I don't know about the newer models, but the off road package on older models has locking diffs, adjustable ride height and sway bar disconnect. You just need proper tires and you're good to go : www.6speedonline.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=152033&stc=1&d=1307588818

I never knew that such an exotic car in my opinion like a Porche can go through traks that are built for 4WD's like the Nissan Patriot or The Ford Ranger (Wild Track)

To be a real 4×4 the vehicles need differential lock. I had a 4×4 without, was not much help to go offroad. I'm not sure if cayenne is aquipment with lock?

In the mud and slush or sand, do you engage low-range or just be in "D"? Is power available to all wheels on the Cayenne in "D"? I am considering getting a 2009 Turbo. I had the 2008 Turbo for 3 years. Loved it.

0-100km in about 4.4 seconds. Top speed 260km. Off-road is a joke. I would feel safer in a Land Range Rover, Toyota Land Cruiser. These Luxury SUV cannot do the track/road with their high centre of gravity. Nothing wrong with the Merc GE whatever. Simply because it is manufactured for off-road. An adventure or enduro bike is very different. Try the KTM 1200 adventure, same problem. Must choose off-road or road. Vehicles currently manufactured trying to be both is purely an egoic fad. It is like trying to make a drone that can travel the same speeds as a jet. Or a jet that lands like a drone or chopper. The result is a confused vehicle. Like hiking boots or sprinting shoes. The compromised lost soul. After watching a few of these Aston Martin, Porsche or Toyota. It makes no difference. Its either off-road or road. Watching this is painful. Its not the cost or the brand. No matter how luxurious or expensive one needs to decide and if you want to go off-road trying to do it is too much of a compromise. Its funny to watch but as mentioned painful. Even with the 911 bi-turbo 650 whatever 0-100km 2.7 seconds. Now add higher ground clearance and whatever else it just becomes more dangerous. 90% chance you will need to get rescued off-road that is no fun. Why compromise on the road 0.100km is now 5 seconds top speed may be 250km but I would feel much safer at that speed with a vehicle designed for the road. Anyone can put a 20 000cc twin turbo in a truck and get it to go 0-100km in 3 seconds but you still in a truck. Turn a corner you dead. Or get stuck in 400mm of water It really does not matter if its a Porsche truck it is still a truck. Sometimes trends or fads take us way off course. Like manufacturing the most luxuries truck. Its still a truck. What for if you never carry a trucks load.
