I really love how they turned this shopping spree into an educational activity and didn’t compromise when Xyla wanted the Minnie mouse lunch bag but it was 2$ over budget so she had to put another item back on the shelf 😌
Some parents would’ve just given in and been like “fine, we can get it 🙄” but it wouldn’t have taught her the lesson they wanted her to take away from it! You’re fantastic parents. Truly.

as a preschool teacher of 4 years and my students are around 1.5 to 3 years old, i swear Xyla freakin amazes me. Good job mom and dad!!! It's such a joy to watch your family and to see how Xyla interacts with the world around her :)
This is so wholesome and refreshing to see compared to the other TH-cam families having massive shopping sprees for their kids for all these toys and gadgets they’ll forget about in a week lol

This is a such a cute activity for the child. Cuz Xyla was so careful on what and how she wanted to spend her $30. Rather than buy things for her. You guys showed the value of money and how to stay on budget. She'll remember and cherish her purchases better.

You guys are doing such a great job with Xyla. She is very well spoken, polite, and smart. This is such a great lesson at a young age. Many parents simply say “no” without any explanation to why (which is most likely due to price). Or they’ll spoil their kids with toys and gadgets they’ll just get tired of them too quickly. With Xyla purchasing these with her own money, she can learn and understand the value of what she’s bought and appreciate her purchases more, and hopefully longer. There are adults who are barely starting to understand the concept of budgeting now. Great job at introducing this important lesson at such a young age. Much love from so.cal. 💕
