martha Rodriguez - these women would never be able to live well in our world They just wouldn't fit. Where every single individual is watched and pointed at and judged! Some peace and quiete for prayer. It is not a place for argument etc disagreements and so on .
My fond wish is that religious communities embrace hospitality to some degree. I visit an Episcopal monastery locally where we have daily mass and liturgy of the hours. It is lovely but I miss the company of women. I would certainly help with chores and gladly change 7 times each day for prayer. I am a middle aged woman and can no longer qualify for an order but it was my intension as a teen to do so. If I found that there were sister who did something other than teach children or care for the elderly I would have made more of an effort. I hope many young women learn of this order.
Nice to see the dog is also wearing a habit. hah I've been helping my daughter discern her vocation, and this has intrigued her, perhaps a seed growing in her heart. She's only 7.
If I can never pay my debt paid off, I would love to be a Benedictine nun. Of all the orders I have looked into, the Order of Saint Benedict is the one that speaks to me the most. And besides, they're one of the few orders that will take people in their late 30s to early 40.
@@christinemuga9956 I'm sure sure there are some orders who care about that sort of thing, the order of St. Benedict Is not one of them. They care more about what's in your heart and your willingness to put in a hard day's work.
i wish i could live like them....living a life for Christ...im just tired with today's life ..esp. girl's life where she has to wear good clothes n make up. i cant live a life surrounded by people who i cant adapt with. i love nature and God in my life. i wish i could.

It's so beautiful that they are tending to the sick and needy even though they have their own lavish property. .. Modernity and secular values has made Nuns a lot nicer and let barbaric, When are they going to build a wing to attend to elderly or anything for humanity, I think Gid has enough prayers to enjoy, especially from the Poor.
There are many active sisters who already do this. They are contemplatives who try to love & worship God for God's sake. And they pray for others. I'm sure they would pray for you if you asked. Also, do you give to those poorer than you? What do you do for them?

The covering of Hair is a Early Christian tradition for modesty and devotion, as well as Catholicism came from the Holy Land.. and in the Holy Land they covered there hair.
The islamic empires despised Catholicism, tbh I feel protestants and muslims have way more a like. And Catholicism and judaism more a like. (but still very different)

They don't have names and they don't heed unless you steeer 'em a little. The stick she used was akin to the business end of a broom, i.e., just a little hay. Cows hide is about 4 inches thick. C'mon -- grow up!

there are websites and charities that help people pay off their debt to enter religious life. Call your diocese vocation office, they can help you out
