I doubt any typical user, or even most power users get into most of the functions. The long band can also be worn over a jacket sleeve. Love the spicier replies you set up. A watch face that isn't a touch screen anyway is a great use of a screen protector.

Best review, for me at least. I have a G-steel, so the perspective was useful. I can pick one of these used for around 160.00. Seems like a steal for all you can do with it.

Thanks! It has almost all the features of their really high end watches like the Fenix, but without the bigger display. It also makes an excellent travel watch. I have been out of the country for the past 8 days with no need to charge it yet.

@@graydogllc I'll pick battery over display anytime. I don't get the "charging everyday" seems like such a hassle, traveling or otherwise.
By the way just the track back feature makes it such a useful device. You can do this on the phone, but to have it quick, and in a device in your wrist that is not going out of battery seems so useful.
I think I'm almost pulling the trigger.

@@digitalsublime I don't want to charge my watch all the time either! Phone is a big enough pain. If you can get one of these for $160 in good shape, buy it!

I like when channels chop up their videos into sections, and simple mouse scrolling over the video screen above the "play" or track bar shows the words for each section.
could always have a friend or kiddo post time stamps in a comment that you pin to the top?? with each section
even if we don't watch the entire video, I believe that the increased user value will elevate your brand in people's minds causing more to choose to return more often... as a result of the chopped up and labeled video sections
along with anything else you like on other channels that adds real value to your user experience, as this idea does to mine!

Garmin pay is so clutch dude. Similar to apple pay obviously but has come through for me many times when i'm out for long treks or runs and end up needing to pick something up from a store or gas station. I generally dont run with my phone or wallet lol

Can’t seem to find the answer anywhere, will the GPS function still give you location without being connected to a phone? I read that a lot of the tracking apps need phone connectivity…solid review this seems like the perfect watch for my needs, thanks.

I was pretty sure that the watch did stand-alone GPS with no phone connection, I just turned off my phone and brought up my lat long and I was in the car while I was doing it so the coordinates were moving as I was driving. This watch is 100% Standalone GPS functional with no need for a phone. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Really great review , I’m a bit on the fence about whether to get the 2x or the 45mm tactical solar , can you tell me your wrist size. I’ve got a 7” wrist and I’m pretty sure the 45mm will be big enough.
Like you I really wanted the tactical version just because it looks and sounds really cool and I’m a massive fan of rugged tactical watches.
I’ve currently got a huawei gt2 pro but it’s a bit of a dressy smart watch and although the functions are great it’s just too fancy.
