I have a 2 large eAXMC ship. It can exert and take out Cyclops hearts effortlessly. Against Basilisk it can bring the health down very slowly, but it would take a lot of time and ammo to exert. Had to use another weapon for that. Might work fine for the hearts, but I couldn't get a scan so I couldn't aim the gimbals at hearts.
I love how fast the weapon can destroy a heart, I would use an easy to get exertion weapon on it aswell, like the enhanced ax missile Edited: also, I wouldn't waste ammo on the shield, it goes down 1% roughly every second so it doesn't matter.
Great video. Interesting information. Isn't scanning an Interceptor more difficult in a system under Thargoid Invasion ? I see people complaining that the scanner needs upgrading.
Yes that is the biggest issue... this interceptor is not moving so you have time to scan it... Wen they are already in fight mode then they move to fast for the XENO scanner. Do to the 600 m radius...
Why no swarm? The interceptors at the CZs and at the stations under attack all have them. Also you have to get a full scan to make gimbals or turrets target a heart. But you can use the fixed version of the Enh AX M/C and switch to trailing reticule. That way you use the ship's nose as the aiming device and plant the reticule where you want the bullets to land. What am I talking about? I'm rubbish at interceptor fighting.
I know km a little late on your video but can you please share your build blueprint? I am just getting started with killing thargoids and I obviously need a new ship build. And last question, before getting my hand on the enhanced ones, do you think I could use the basic Ax multi cannon?
Hello there... for build... get as much hull reinforcement that you can... put bi weave shields for rapid regenerate I do hope you have engineered parts because if not I would not suggest to fight Thargoids... scouts meaby but not the interceptors... and for the AX multi cannons the enhanced ones come In gimballed ones... the regular you have not that option... and believe me you gone want the gimballed ones... I hope this helps you out... be safe and fly dangerous cmdr... o7
Hey there Grimulas, what should were you using? And what other internal components did you have onboard? Great video.. Thank you. Have you thought about using the new enhanced AX rockets to "expose" the heart broke using the cannons to kill the heart and then using the rockets to do the final kill, it might be quicker and use less ammo..I think, but I am not a good fighter I'm about the same level as you... Probably worse than you so don't take my advice!!
I am new to all this... my test was just the multi-cannons but there might be a combo in the weapons yes... 🤔 And i was using a 6C bi-weave engineered grade 5 Thermal resistant... for the rest hull reinforcement... my total hull is 2050.
amaizing video cmdr cheers from venezuela its a matter of practice i guess eventually you wil develop tactics and fliying hunting skills when you fight each time also the equipment of the ship and the ship itself will eventually meke you a better anti xeno fighter cmdr bi wave shields maybe ax missiles or energy weapons but it requires that the ship has to be engiererized repit amaizing video sir
Depending on you skills... if you are good whit fixed weapons then the Gauss cannons are way better... But for those like me who suck whit fixed weapons then it's the multi-cannons... 🙂
I still prefer the turreted, the spread of the gimballed is too small. Which means you have to be on target the entire time. With turreted you can circle around the target far more effectively and still kill it. The "time to kill" the scouts is basically identical to the x3 AX turreted cannons. I honestly see no reason to equip these x2 cannons, unless you only have x2 slots to work with. There is simply zero change from the x3 turreted. If they were x3's that would be different, but they aren't that good to warrant switching from x3 turreted to x2 gimballed.
This are the enhanced Gimballed AX multi-cannons to be clear.
Great Video. useful feedback . Happy New Year.
Thanks... and a Happy New Year for you to... o7
Nice! Managed to take down my first Cyclops solo today. Thank you!
Congratulations cmdr... that's how we will win... 1 by 1 until none is left... o7 👍
Nicely done! ;) Have a happy New Year. ;)
Thank you cmdr... and have a happy new year to... o7
Thank you, i will give it a try. Take care.👍

Yes there is the problem... i could never have won if i was not able to scan it...
good to know
the enhanced multicannons are good but what i've discovered that 4 class 1 guardian gauss cannons are good enough to take out 2 cyclops back to back
But then you still need to be good with fixed weapons... 🤔

I will give those a try too... meaby a combination with the multi's...
I heve noticed that the real problem in figths against interceptors is aiming, hearts are very weak! its even possible to destroy whith turrets
That's why you need to be able to scan them... So you can pinpoint the hearts.
Great video. Interesting information.
Isn't scanning an Interceptor more difficult in a system under Thargoid Invasion ? I see people complaining that the scanner needs upgrading.
yep. in combat zones are very difficult to scan the interceptors, they stay moving and the scanner is very slow and poor range
Yep. You gotta learn the cold orbit technique which I haven't learned myself yet. But there are vids that go over this.

Apparently there is no swarm at a settlement 🤔.
And i never used the other aiming mode so... 😕. And join the club rubbish against interceptors... 🤣

Hello nice vid i cant find ax guimbal multicanon in class 3, did you find them
You can find them on the rescue ships... meaby not all of them but sure one will have them do... 🙂
@@Grimulas thanks i will try to find them
Enhanced gimble look pretty dam good. I'll be outfitting them very soon. Just gotta finish up some exobiology before frontier nurfs it again.
You seem to know how frontier works 😅.
@@Grimulas HAHA!! Yep, as soon as there's money to be made.....
First of all, if we don't see each other again, Happy New Year. These gimballed mc's are at the rescue ships right?
The same for you cmdr... Happy New year... and yes they are for sale in the rescue ships. 👍

@@Grimulas it is good to post any Engineering your build has. A lot of people new to AX combat don't have much Engineered modules.
@@marks7502 i will post a video of the build i used 👍

I think it comes down on the time you can keep them in sight... if you have a slow turning ship then turrets might compensate that yes.
How come it doesnt swarm you? I keep gettin my butt kicked by these lol. 9 million credits a pop.
no swarm on planet.
I honestly don't know that... 🤔
