Finally someone explains the auto.master.d directory and how to use it properly rather than just dumping everything onto the auto.master file like I see in every other video. Even readhat guides and the arch wiki explain it in this way even though the manuals don't recommend it. I read like 6 of the manuals and have been confused for the past 4 hours on how to make it work. Turned out that I had a typo that I didn't catch because of my tiny laptop. Easily one of the worst documentations I've read is for autofs, you on the other hand explained it perfectly. Thank you for that 👍🔥

Doing autofs using the master.d (drop in directory) because this isolates each connection and free system administrators from the pain of destroying the autofs service with wrong entries into the configuration file. You are right, there is hardly any content out there that uses the dropping 🫳 directory for this. We need to push content like this.🎉
