REAL TALK: If you are wondering that how I came up with these rankings, here is the answer. 1) I try each and every power for weeks and sometimes months. I have maxed out character with 650+ Skill points and 8 Artifacts at 200 rank. 2) I play against all types of players, from the best to worst. From try-hards to casuals. 3) I go to forums, I read and study everything developers and other players have to say about powersets, Artifacts etc. 4) I discuss loadouts, power sets, power interactions etc. with top DPS players in the game. I run a Gadgets/Acro build. I often do more dps than raid geared players. Acrobatics counts as physical dmg, like weapon attacks. Gives me options... Forward Flip gets me on top of mobs and drops an AOE, it also can't be blocked or interrupted. Back Flip drops an AOE and gets me out of danger. And popping Stealth when you land the Flip in a safe spot ensures Stealth won't be interrupted, and it also looks cool, asf, if you time it right....Back Flip Ninja Vanish!
I'm electric and use trans, quislet, and eog. Quislet gives you a nice damage output with your supercharge that hits a group of people (only a single target if it's a 10000 cost though) and you really don't even need scrap with it because tesla ball gets you a supercharge pretty quickly.

I agree with Quantum being tier 2. However I would replace water with Quantum. Quantum is consistent and doesnt miss a beat. I be pulling crazy parsers with Quantum might for aoe and st. Theres really only 5 Quantum players on USPS that know to use the might side. Ive been Quantum since 2013, Ive out worked a Electric prec DPS who had two eog healers and eog tank he had eog trans strat, still lost by 10 million on ST at TSW. Quantum got nerfed but in general will always be underrated because people give up on it bc it isnt easy like elec/muni but also it had some major nerfs in 2017 that would make a tier 1 power.
Artifacts have a big part in where the numbers fall per power. I will say fire is right along side munitions in terms of raw damage. Gadgets i would actually put above munitions in damage. Mental I don’t think we have any question on it’s dps it’s cracked. But again the powers them selves don’t matter the way they used to. Artifacts make or break loadouts with the right combo any power has a real chance of being top tier. Rage is still only good as melee and nowhere near fires ranged dps.
I've tested munitions and nature in dps role with strat, trans and Grim at 160. I've done same damage with these powers. Munitions works better with grim tham solar amp
i still see ammunitions doing way better than any other power. i outdamage everyone as prec electric and whenever i see someone close to my damage or outdamaging it's eather another prec electric or gadget or a might ammunition.
I just started playing this game. And I just choose what I liked. I created a Villain and a Hero. My Hero is Mental with Bow and my Villain is Gadgets with Duel Pistols. I didn't even know about a Tier list lol.
I loved Rage tanking soo much I forced myself to find a medium ranged dps l.o that hits like 2.2 to 2.4mill aoe 5 targets its helps me keep up with honestly everyone except the gadgets and electric precision dps

It's the p.i move where you spit on the floor cant remember the name, then dreadful blast clip the third move with heat vision, back to dreadful blast clip the third move with sonic shout. Then robot sidekick and your choice of SC I mainly use berserk it still works medium ranged trust me.

Btw the other 2 arts is trans and strat Edit: just to cover all bases you can switch out sonic shout with ice breathe and use amplified heat vision with neo venom boost for an almost max ranged l.o that does like 1.9 to 2.1

…idk…I did mostly raids and our main leader was an ice tank who somehow is top 3 if number one is dps score (this was before munitions release) I used electricity earth rage and fire,.. fire was the best in dmg this being when exobite farming is somewhat a must. Might is broken in this game Precision NEEDED exobite tweaking- it got the job done BUT..fire was best for me( the game already supports the basic powers)

Nice video. Im a returning player. Been away for about 2 years. I have a question tho. After a lot of research. Everyone seems to say prec is the way to go. So if it’s all about precision now. How does gadgets and electric stand out? If prec and weapon attacks are top. What does it matter what power u are? And I understand cele, hl, and maybe munitions prb better might based.
Even as prec, Gadgets and Electricity are on top. The reason for electricity being on top is the combination of spammable supercharge, with eye of gemini SC + Damage over time powers. Gadgets requires a lot of clipping resulting in quick damage. But Electricity (as mentioned in video) is still top even as might.
@@Mont511 im not entirely sure but i like to add something to electricity prec dps being the best. most Prec dps usd NVB, but for elec prec, they use Circuit Breaker...which is superior to NVB. and Tesla Ball does good aoe damage and build SC faster than a normal power. so if they have eog spam, they can have both Circuit Breaker and NVB in their loadout
This list is for Might based loadouts. Might means when you use powers to do your damage. Precision means when you use weapons (brawling etc.) to do your damage. What powerset are you? Maybe I can guide you to the right direction. =)

If you want to be Precision dps, there are only two weapons which works. Brawling into Martial Arts for AOE damage and Dual Wield into Bow for Single Target damage.
Does this video obtain dps's all around of all the system and I see Munitions topping it with like you said the lazy damage but like I said it has to be different from various consoles various players skill points and arts because you could always say which power is the top DPS but like I said players play differently versus art skill points and consoles
Like Roreaga said, 2% defence penetration gives you a better damage output in Elite content. Both of them tend to do great but in some cases, Penetrating Strikes mod do slightly better, that is why most DPS go with Penetrating Strikes instead of Core Strength.
I don’t really get why you guys lie about celestial being so high up it’s really not and the only power that can’t effectively artifact swap. If you try to artifact swap you lose damage output

Coming from a 378 FIRE dps with 200 arts, 486sp, there is 0 way ICE or RAGE should be higher than FIRE on this list. I have also done my fair share of power switching and research and I seriously doubt that ICE is pulling more dps than FIRE. Its true that FIRE aoe is lacking but the single target is one of the best in the game. FIRE greatly surpasses RAGE and ICE in aoe and single target but RAGE has better melee. Not to mention that FIRE is one of the best tanking powers in the game. FIRE is very beginner friendly and doesn't require very high sp to compete with most powers. In my opinion I think fire should be alot higher on this list.
Like I mentioned in the video, all dps powers are very close to eachother now that powers are pretty much balanced. But Ice is better than Fire because of 60% damage boost with Ice elemental and then stacking that with 40% damage boost from neo-venom. And when I was Ice, not a single fire or rage dps could outdps me even with Rage's berserk. But again, no power is bad or good, it's the user I guess. 🤔
I'm right there with you. I have never been beat by ice or rage might. 99% of the time someone puts out more damage than me is because they're prec not another might power
I’m disappointed they nerf the nature abilities and I enjoyed it so far when I play the game. You get to trap enemies and they take damage over time. Once I heard about this I switch to ice to give it a try, didn’t like it so far I feel less enjoyment in the game when I switch. It was a dumb decision for me I felt like imma switch it back later.
"all powers are really balanced" meanwhile in ur LO are only like 2 or 3 power abilities all others are iconic powers or more supercharges bruhhhh. we shifted into a meta where we dont use a power anymore if u want to do the highest dmg u need to be superspeed, use heatvision and two superpowers .... those top tier dps powers are those who dont need to use superspeed, heatvision etc. So saying they all are balanced isnt really true otherwise no one would use the superspeed abilities or heatvision or two superpowers for eog spam. i dare u do create for every power a LO that does good dps without superspeed, heatvision or even robot side kick. its impossible. the powers arent balanced but those abilites are just to strong compared to the strength of the abilities of the powers.
No, I said all powers are very close to eachother and much more balanced then before. Never said completely balanced. But.. You are right, they are only closed to eachother when we use the "meta" loadouts which includes iconic powers or sometimes movement powers. Although im not against robot sidekick because it gives you additional damage when you are busy using your other 4 powers. But yeah HV is ridiculous and was kinda made compulsory when Solar Amp was launched. But that's how DC is, has always have been and always will be. Today its Solar Amp with HV, tomorrow it will be something else. That's the only way they can keep consumers busy and tempting them to spend more time and money in leveling things up. Gadgets and HL are the only two powers I can think of which doesn't use HV. But they still usr RS and Neo. But it is what it is and sadly we have to accept the fact because there is no way its changing to the way we want it to be.
If you can't make a competitive dps build using nothing but powers from the actual powerset, thats a problem with the powers, and a bad dev issue, not the problem of players for not using the cookie cutter iconics.

I feel like yall really sleeping kn quantum I be running in missions with 412sp and simple made loadouts with some adjustments and I slay and always top 3 dps I've out dps multiple fires and electrics with my high of cr and arts I'm all 200 not sure what the sp is but if it's 10mil less than me than they must be doing something right
heh im sorcery dps 200sp 120-160 arts went vs earth ( 600+ sp. max arts ) i did 99m and he did 76m u can pretty much beat any power (might only hhh prec is broken asf ) if u know wat u doing .

Yup, that's correct. 😊 Might is more fun, as you get to use the superpowers you like. Precision is slightly better but will get boring really fast and requires a lot of skill points and other stuff. No worries mate. You will have to use both loadouts for different scenarios, thats where "armories" comes in. Use single target loadout on boss fights while AoE loadout on adds/multitargets. Use armories to quickly switch between the two loadouts 😊
Eh idk man. I’m a quantum main and my damage isnt bad at all. It’s damage is pretty consistent especially with the right artifacts leveled up. I just recently topped the charts with 128 million damage. Is that AMAZING damage, no but it’s still very viable. Did I just get lucky and get put with people not as geared as me? Sure that’s a possibility. The guy that was closest to me did 124 million, Not sure what his power was tho. but 128 million is still good. Quantum is slept on man no joke.
The highest dps will be whomever has the most skill points. Even the weakest class with a lot of sp can outshine anyone. It’s all about what you like and if you really are going to grind the sp to stand out above the crowd.

Other than munitions, what’s like the easiest dps power that takes no brain to use? Cause I love playing the game, I hate being carried and actually wanna contribute in raids and such but I have no idea how to build in this game
I would say Electricity and Quantum are easy besides Munitions. As these two powers also just require you to press 12345 and repeat. However, for them to actually work as a high hitting dps, you would require minimum of 480 skill points, maxed out artifacts, maxed out augments and base mods etc. Once you have those, you can pretty much chill and just spam the 12345 loadout =)

Rifle is the only weapon with Tap-range combo as AoE damage, that's why I always use that, but it's not compulsory. You can use whatever weapon you want as might dps 😊
Wow i didnt think earth would be that low atleast some of the other powers i like are higher i was just an earth main n was disappointed even though i do get y its low n i never had over 250 sp and i have not played in over 6 months cuz i just got bored of it
Its not low because it can't do insane dps compared to other classes. It's just not well rounded enough and you have to be melee range almost exclusively or you won't do much of anything

Mental 2.gadget 3.elek The thing is i think ppl still to this day experience to little for they fav powerset for me its Always been Gadget since the Alpha/Beta it Always was cool for me but then there are ppl that Like atomic (atomic worst powerset for DMG) 😂 but extremly good Tank If U can play it Just the Thing is they gonna swich bcs the DMG is Not in Thier favor and Just bcs they are third dps or so on the Score Board they hate the powerset. And that Takes the fun of the Game Not bcs of the devs and the Power Balanceing its bcs the ppl dont want to experience for thier own and then they force themselfs to Play Like mental Gadget elek fire or so Just bcs they hate to (lose to be First place) Just Play what U Like and Not force Yourself to Play a Power u only Like bcs its doing DMG
This is very true, My favorite role is tank and I love Atomic Tanking but I also want to do dps and the dmg on atomic isnt the best. So I switched to earth and had fun for a bit, but it isnt as fun as atomic. Im going to try Fire as my last attempt because I've never tried it. If I don't like it I'll just say fuck it and go back to Atomic.

I think your forgetting the pet build with earth and sorcery makes those two powers near the top right under munitions mental and gadgets.
Best dps is munitions,gadgets and electricity.
I am fire dps and it's range is amazing.

Early didn't matters which power you use!
Only late game it matters.

Nice video. Im a returning player. Been away for about 2 years. I have a question tho. After a lot of research. Everyone seems to say prec is the way to go. So if it’s all about precision now. How does gadgets and electric stand out? If prec and weapon attacks are top. What does it matter what power u are? And I understand cele, hl, and maybe munitions prb better might based.
Even as prec, Gadgets and Electricity are on top. The reason for electricity being on top is the combination of spammable supercharge, with eye of gemini SC + Damage over time powers. Gadgets requires a lot of clipping resulting in quick damage. But Electricity (as mentioned in video) is still top even as might.

@@Mont511 im not entirely sure but i like to add something to electricity prec dps being the best. most Prec dps usd NVB, but for elec prec, they use Circuit Breaker...which is superior to NVB. and Tesla Ball does good aoe damage and build SC faster than a normal power. so if they have eog spam, they can have both Circuit Breaker and NVB in their loadout

This list is for Might based loadouts. Might means when you use powers to do your damage. Precision means when you use weapons (brawling etc.) to do your damage. What powerset are you? Maybe I can guide you to the right direction. =)

If you want to be Precision dps, there are only two weapons which works. Brawling into Martial Arts for AOE damage and Dual Wield into Bow for Single Target damage.

Depends on the content usually. I don't see much difference, tbh, but defense penetration probably better in Elites and Survival Mode for sure.
Like Roreaga said, 2% defence penetration gives you a better damage output in Elite content. Both of them tend to do great but in some cases, Penetrating Strikes mod do slightly better, that is why most DPS go with Penetrating Strikes instead of Core Strength.

Coming from a 378 FIRE dps with 200 arts, 486sp, there is 0 way ICE or RAGE should be higher than FIRE on this list. I have also done my fair share of power switching and research and I seriously doubt that ICE is pulling more dps than FIRE. Its true that FIRE aoe is lacking but the single target is one of the best in the game. FIRE greatly surpasses RAGE and ICE in aoe and single target but RAGE has better melee. Not to mention that FIRE is one of the best tanking powers in the game. FIRE is very beginner friendly and doesn't require very high sp to compete with most powers. In my opinion I think fire should be alot higher on this list.
Like I mentioned in the video, all dps powers are very close to eachother now that powers are pretty much balanced. But Ice is better than Fire because of 60% damage boost with Ice elemental and then stacking that with 40% damage boost from neo-venom. And when I was Ice, not a single fire or rage dps could outdps me even with Rage's berserk. But again, no power is bad or good, it's the user I guess. 🤔

I’m disappointed they nerf the nature abilities and I enjoyed it so far when I play the game. You get to trap enemies and they take damage over time. Once I heard about this I switch to ice to give it a try, didn’t like it so far I feel less enjoyment in the game when I switch. It was a dumb decision for me I felt like imma switch it back later.

Earth is tier 1 in my opinion I beat most of those tier 1 powers before but than again I just know how to use Earth

"all powers are really balanced" meanwhile in ur LO are only like 2 or 3 power abilities all others are iconic powers or more supercharges bruhhhh. we shifted into a meta where we dont use a power anymore if u want to do the highest dmg u need to be superspeed, use heatvision and two superpowers .... those top tier dps powers are those who dont need to use superspeed, heatvision etc. So saying they all are balanced isnt really true otherwise no one would use the superspeed abilities or heatvision or two superpowers for eog spam.
i dare u do create for every power a LO that does good dps without superspeed, heatvision or even robot side kick. its impossible. the powers arent balanced but those abilites are just to strong compared to the strength of the abilities of the powers.
No, I said all powers are very close to eachother and much more balanced then before. Never said completely balanced. But.. You are right, they are only closed to eachother when we use the "meta" loadouts which includes iconic powers or sometimes movement powers. Although im not against robot sidekick because it gives you additional damage when you are busy using your other 4 powers. But yeah HV is ridiculous and was kinda made compulsory when Solar Amp was launched. But that's how DC is, has always have been and always will be. Today its Solar Amp with HV, tomorrow it will be something else. That's the only way they can keep consumers busy and tempting them to spend more time and money in leveling things up. Gadgets and HL are the only two powers I can think of which doesn't use HV. But they still usr RS and Neo. But it is what it is and sadly we have to accept the fact because there is no way its changing to the way we want it to be.
If you can't make a competitive dps build using nothing but powers from the actual powerset, thats a problem with the powers, and a bad dev issue, not the problem of players for not using the cookie cutter iconics.

No worries mate. You will have to use both loadouts for different scenarios, thats where "armories" comes in. Use single target loadout on boss fights while AoE loadout on adds/multitargets. Use armories to quickly switch between the two loadouts 😊

Eh idk man. I’m a quantum main and my damage isnt bad at all. It’s damage is pretty consistent especially with the right artifacts leveled up. I just recently topped the charts with 128 million damage. Is that AMAZING damage, no but it’s still very viable. Did I just get lucky and get put with people not as geared as me? Sure that’s a possibility. The guy that was closest to me did 124 million, Not sure what his power was tho. but 128 million is still good. Quantum is slept on man no joke.

The highest dps will be whomever has the most skill points. Even the weakest class with a lot of sp can outshine anyone. It’s all about what you like and if you really are going to grind the sp to stand out above the crowd.

Other than munitions, what’s like the easiest dps power that takes no brain to use? Cause I love playing the game, I hate being carried and actually wanna contribute in raids and such but I have no idea how to build in this game
I would say Electricity and Quantum are easy besides Munitions. As these two powers also just require you to press 12345 and repeat. However, for them to actually work as a high hitting dps, you would require minimum of 480 skill points, maxed out artifacts, maxed out augments and base mods etc. Once you have those, you can pretty much chill and just spam the 12345 loadout =)

Rifle is the only weapon with Tap-range combo as AoE damage, that's why I always use that, but it's not compulsory. You can use whatever weapon you want as might dps 😊

Its not low because it can't do insane dps compared to other classes. It's just not well rounded enough and you have to be melee range almost exclusively or you won't do much of anything

This is very true, My favorite role is tank and I love Atomic Tanking but I also want to do dps and the dmg on atomic isnt the best. So I switched to earth and had fun for a bit, but it isnt as fun as atomic. Im going to try Fire as my last attempt because I've never tried it. If I don't like it I'll just say fuck it and go back to Atomic.
