I absolutely love it when paragon drops a mass effect video especially when its a nearly hour long deep dive into the new mass effect, ive had few theories of the endings and the choices and keep getting the vibe that only the humans if synthesis is that only all humans fully synthesised and not all the other species did giving the himans more sway in the galaxy and could easily bring shepherd back. And for destroy shepherd is recovered and alive and humans are held in hight regard in the galaxy i believe everything you say is what id be happy with, ill definitely be watching the live of N7 day i cant wait hope its something juicy
Years ago I found a data pad in a kettle base, it was between "benafactor" and "Hztch" and if I recall the "benafactor" is from the Milkyway, and the last line says "perhaps you would be interested to see my homeworld, like you once showed me yours"
@@vasyear this. They left way too many mystery around this topic, and it is a potential connection point between the galaxies. They never revealed the benefactor, which means 2 possibilities: it is a known character planned to be revealed “later” (and never happened), which I would exclude and second, it doesn’t have relevant body form. If I remember well, the benefactor appeared in various forms to “speak” to people, the first thing I thought about was in one of those terminator movies, where the robot intelligence changes faces appearance on screen to speak with the protagonist. The benefactor has been pulling strings around the Andromeda Initiative, which we known for certain it was a huge cover up for Alec to work on AI-people interface (SAM, story from Initiation). I am not sure what are the goals of this character, but this guy has traveled out of the Milky Way, if we have interpreted well this datapad message, connecting specifically with the Kett. Could it be a some kind of unknown synthetic species? Is it geth? Too little info to speculate now, but it is a connection point. Everything depend on when the plot is set. I personally think it is around Andromeda’s time, 600 years in the future for the Milky Way, specifically in another timeline ( we have to assume that a time anomaly has happened, to bypass the choices of the end of ME3), otherwise the plot in Andromeda has not resolved yet and many things would not make sense with the Jardaan and Kett. But time travel is a possibility, it would be incredibly messy, but it could be. It remains to understand what is the focus of the plot, but if dark energy/scourge is involved, they can build anything that can explain space-time anomaly and they virtually have no limits to bypass previous story choices
Absolutely brilliant video, well done on it and your astute theorising both! I feel like the N7 trailer music being a dark reimagining of Shepherd's introductory music is a big hint that may have been missed. IMO - the villain is "control" shephard from another shard of the multiverse, and the game will be set after the "destroy" ending
Oh, this is absolutely brilliant! I enjoyed every minute of your video and even shed some tears! You've made me even more excited for N7 day! All your hard work analysing everything bought together into these amazing theories, that all absolutely make sense. If they are true it's going to be just a perfect game! I'm looking forward to seeing your N7 day live, I'm sure it will be even more fun than last year! 🤩 Thank you, Atharia
To further your theory of AU Shep and how you could patch it so that it doesnt force you to pick the perfect destroy ending... Doesn't Javik give Shep a memory shard during the last mission on Earth? In theory, the AU Shep could be given this shard by whoever recovered it to restore your original Sheps memories and bring everything current
I love this video. I had parts of this prediction last year and used the Mass Relay Explosion as the catalyst that fueled the scourge. It explained how the Remnant originated from the Geth. As the Geth traveled to Andromeda to search for their discovery, they got caught up on the explosion. I didn't understand how the time travel would work so I like that you addressed it. Overall great research into these theories. Wormholes get a lot cred here. They enable travel across galaxies, time, and parallel universes? That's the toughest part of this theory.
What a great video!! Love that you not only use real-world science as evidence (since Mass Effect is at least partially hard scifi), but also evidence from story structure and dev posts. I have heard too many theories that sound like fanfic or are half-baked, so its refreshing for one to be so through and plausible. Plus listening to your breakdown while studying has been making the time pass way easier lol
I’ve been looking at the shadows at the bar in mass effect and it looks a lot like Femshep shadow that could be it! What he would hope no one would notice
I enjoy your theory videos, from the attention to detail to the hypothesis themselves. Kudos. I also had a thought on Michael Gambles tweet from 2 years ago: - Liara T'Soni (Doctor, Shadow Broker and It doesn't fully make sense, but for someone who had to take a role imposed on her in a moments notice after the fall of the previous Shadow Broker, it sorta does in a way. Besides, the amount of resources and capital needed for something like this outside of official governments (Citadel, Asari, Turian, Salarian or Human means) had to come from someone with both means, connections and most importantly, network intelligence. Most would say that it was the Illusive Man, but by then he was too tied with Shepard's mission or with studying how to control the reapers. Plus his idea of "humanity first" wouldn't mesh with the Initiative's idea of uniting the species to one cause... just a theory of course, but since N7 day is around the corner, my mind won't stop thinking these :D
But why would Liara be looking for Alternate Sheppard (unless you use control or synthesis)? When he died on the Citadel he was in way better shape then at the end of ME2, which means they would not have to work as hard to bring him back.
Issue is how old is Liara in that teaser? She has noticeable wrinkles, Asari can live up to 1000 years. This could be hundreds of years after Me3. I just hope they do not use the wormhole thing to travel back in time and retrieve Shepard in that way xd
Bruh yall are too smart for me but this single video has made me more excited for mass effect than any of the teasers have done. Well freaking done. Hook line and sinker.
I see a new Paragon7 ME vid, I watch :) YES, your Continuation Theory makes lots of sense to me, and I've long thought that they'd sidestep the endings somehow, and involve parallel universes or timelines as well.. I've said as such in the past on Reddit, and gotten pushback for it. Thanks for this theory vid, and I look forward to your take on the N7 2024 content, very much! I will add one thing that you've probably already thought of: If the Jardaan are a variant of Prothean, then it seems obvious to me that they'd naturally want to re-assert Prothean/Jardaanian hegemony over the Milky Way Galaxy, since they'd see themselves as the rightful owners of it, and over all who live there. That certainly gives motivation for an Antagonist!
If time travel is introduced now, why didn't someone go back from the future and warn everyone that the Reapers were coming, with the plans from the Tigel?
I assume because it would break the timeline to do so. The Andromeda crew returning to 2190 wouldn't break anything (I think) because their "original" selves are flying towards Andromeda in cryo sleep. So there's no chance of them accidently meeting themselves or something. But of course, this is just a guess. :)
@@Scarab324 Only logically consistent way to get around that would be unintentional time travel. The Andromeda Initiative figures out how to stick the Scourge into a black hole thinking “oh hey we’ve got a shortcut now” and then X, Y, Z happens when trying it out resulting in an oopsie to the past that they can’t recreate.
@@paragonseven I didn't think that the crew could meet themselves. I was more referring to the problem that a Milky Way team in the future, with the knowledge of how to defeat the Reapers, could go back in time and give that knowledge to the peoples of the Milky Way much earlier so that the Reapers can be defeated before the cause so much damage in the first place. That would be a problem with time travel. That's why I advise against it. Time dilation would be much more suitable here. In addition, using quantum encryption, one could talk to the peoples in the Andromeda Galaxy directly from the Milky Way, since quantum particles, no matter how far apart they are, are entangled and react to one another. Therefore, communication over this distance would be easily possible and without any time difference. Teleporting like in ME1 to the Citadel or in ME3 from Earth to the Citadel would be a way to get directly from the Milky Way to the Andromeda Galaxy. All you would need is a teleporter on both sides.
@@Scarab324 Again, if there's no Kerr black hole for that Milky Way team to go into, then they literally can't go back in time. There's only a known Kerr black hole in the Heleus cluster. And I'm pretty sure if they told people about the Reapers in the past, it'd make the entire trilogy plotline useless, which is why I don't think they'll go there.
So, im onboard with this theory but with your theory about the Quarian ARK, im pretty sure most or all passengers on that ARK died from the cross species virus that forms the whole story of the Andromeda Annihilation book
I'm not really a fan of time travel narratives. However, the idea of the Jardaan being Protheans is fascinating. The exact timeline of the Prothean-Reaper War has not been well-defined. The existence of locations such as Ilos indicates that the 'full' eradication of the Prothean species could have occurred centuries or even millennia after the war began, with isolated cells or facilities enduring well past the fall of the Prothean Empire. It might just be that clandestine elements of the Prothean military reached Andromeda via salvaged Reaper technology, where they may have created the Angara and Kett as an envisioned weapon against the Reapers. I wonder if the lack of biotic abilities exhibited by the Angara and the Kett were in fact intentional design choices on the Prothean's part? Perhaps biotics somehow play into Reaper indoctrination, and severing a sentient being's connection to it actually makes them immune to indoctrination?
Oh my goodness, what a phenomenal breakdown. The time and work you have put into this is incredible. Thank you so much 🤗 you've got me even more excited for N7 day than I thought possible great work Atharia 🤗❤
I'm going with the butler, using the candlestick in the study! The greatest thing about this endless teasing is that we know they are working hard on the story. That bodes well for the characters and us:)
After watching this movie, I don't know if I want a new mass effect. I like this theory so much that it could make a great story. And if what you say is not true and does not appear in the game, I will be very disappointed that they didn't come up with an idea like YOU.
Great video! Had a lot of fun watching, especially since I didn't follow any of the ME5 teases over the years. One thing I hope, and that may be a very unpopular opinion, is that they decide of a more or less strict canon ending and move on from there. At least for the big stuff (reaper resolution, race resolutions, etc.). As much as I love ME3, it got really messy in places as there were so many balls in the air (even tho the war asset system was a really neat idea to account for many of the minor choices you made in ME1 and ME2). This new game would not only have to deal with the outcomes of ME3, but also introduce the Andromeda crew and races and conflicts, a lot more sci-fi elements, and tell a compelling story... and I believe it would likely crumble under the pressure.
Imagine they will make the indoctrination theory cannon which means ME3 "ended" on a cliffhanger and we still have yet to see an actual boss fight with a hybrid Harbinger Illusive Man like how it was supposed to be originally before it was cut out.
Amazing work on this video here are my crazy unwanted theories 1 I think that relay in the trailer is probably a relay that connects to the second citadel that’s it in dark space mostly because the citadel was a mass relay it has to connect to another relay 2 reincarnated shepherd through artifacts from past lives. the thing the consort gave Shepherd in Mass effect one could that have been a past life artifact from a ancient shepherd I know the proteins use that type of passing of information through touch but maybe because the consort gave it to Shepherd and said it was for Shepherd maybe something 3 ever since the first time I’ve played Mass effect Andromeda and got to the end there it always seemed like whoever the Jardaan were split into two groups. One group wanted to create the Angara . The other group wanted to use their technology to augment themselves, hence the kett wasn’t until watching some lore videos theory videos got me to think that it may have been the Prothean or a faction of Prothean that left. So they either wanted to build an army to come back and out the Prothean Empire or to fight against the reapers. it’s pretty crazy how Ilos description almost matches what happened at habitat seven Sorry for bad spelling and grammar errors
I'm surmising liara is on the planet that shepard was recovered from and she just happens to find bits of gear left behind after the fact. Kinda like the dogtag mission.
That was very deep and very well done. As one who has played through the Trilogy (and Andromeda) at least 5-6 times, I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Also, good luck with DA:4. WAS excited, but now I'm going just wait until it eventually hits Gamepass. A lot of the reviews have stated they left those of use that have played through the previous games behind. And the gameplay does not look good at all. Happiness is that ME4 (5?) has been stated that they will not vary away from the core game like DA4 did in art direction or maturity level. I just hope they keep their word. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
i don't usually buy into game theories like this one, but honestly i'm only like 20 minutes in and i'm already feeling fairly convinced about a fair amount of this.
26:05 so far I'm not hearing much about the game respecting the player choices made in the original trilogy, but I'm hearing a lot about retconning ways into circumventing them and thus make them in anything MORE irrelevant than they ever were. Granted, I'm talking from a place of cynicism, I am aware of that and there could still ways in wich the devs surprise me. Here's hoping.
Thanks for the video while I download Veilguard! I also believe that Shepard and Ryder will be dual protagonists. But I differ on how the timelines will be merged. I really need to send you my whole theory haha.
A well researched, well thought out and well presented theory... watching this makes me want to do yet another Trilogy playthrough - and maybe even another Andromeda one.. Now that Veilguard has dropped (fantasy RPG's are not in my wheelhouse - but I am hoping that the launch is a big success - for the sake of ME5), attention and focus can hopefully return to the next ME...
I like everything I hear here, all except the parallel universe stuff. The evidence you show and the links you make do really fit the bill. But I just don’t want more multiverse in my life, and I don’t think Mass Effect needs it.
I'm convinced Paragon7 is really DC's Brainiac. She's come from an alternate universe where Brainiac is female and uses her mental powers for good, not evil! Bioware needs to hire this amazing lady. If Bioware doesn't hire her, I'm 100% sure Elon will snatch her up.
As someone who liked Andromeda I'm still very excited that we aren't ignoring that story and its implications and actually continuing it. And your theory gets me even more excited. Not just because of what I already said, but also because bringing in all the dark energy and time manipulation content that would have originally majorly factored into ME3's ending, the writers kinda have the chance to address and fix one of the most notoriously controversial game endings of all time.
Omgod you put in all the brain power Id like to save for Mass Effect (but is wasted on work and stuff) to use and I love it. Got chills hearing every single bullet point and the reasoning behind it. Only stopped watching the video near the end when you mentioned Veilguard because I wont play it for another couple of months. But THIS is the video I needed to double triple hype myself for N7 day! ❤🎉
What if. And I'm 100% spitballing here. The N7 shown in the trailer is the shepherd from control. It wouldn't be hard after a time skip for the alliance to build shepherd a body and have him/her upload shepherds mind to the synthetic body.( the same way a geth would)
I got a question. Assuming the wormhole travel ends up happening, could the N7 helmet piece actually be from a damaged Ryder helmet? It might be a stretch, but a fresh looking helmet piece in fresh snowfall could be a recent breakage
I think a good chunk of this, particularly the black hole-as-portal hypothesis, is pretty strong, and I've had thoughts along those lines myself. But some of it's definitely a lot more of a reach. You had a lot riding on "this angara is angry at the geth," for example, but I don't see it; I don't think the image is clear enough for that. I'd love to have playable Shepard and Ryder, though, and I really hope they go in that direction. Incidentally I'm currently the content lead for a tabletop RPG, Æon, whose first edition was published 10 years before Mass Effect, in 1997. There are a lot of tonal similarities between the settings. I've heard rumours that members of the original ME team were fans of Æon, but I've been unable to confirm anything. I was all ready to give up on that... and then I saw the ME5 teasers. Believe me, I was FROTHING at the MOUTH when I saw "Epsilon-Oculon-Nebula" (EON).
What if the character in the N7 suit from the trailer is actually Shepard? And the only way to bring him back was to upload his consciousness into a machine?
What if at the end of ME3, when Liara did that mind share, she got pregnant with Shepherds' daughter, and that's how they bring Shepherd back so to speak by playing his daughter
Heres a problem with the prothean theory: The protheans were not a single monolithic race. They were a culture. A borg like culture that assimilated and enslaved other geneticly different races under their banner. Unlike human divisions which are mainly culture, "race" and religious, protheans would have been very, if not wildy different from one individual being to the next based on species, cultural identification, religions if any, and the prothean moniker as a nation state. All within the prothean empire were prothean, but not all protheans were of the prothean species.
I love your videos, they always open up such beautiful possibilities and options to think about what is being said. Personally, I don't like Andromeda at all, but I know that many other fans like it and that's their right, just as it is mine not to like it. Even if it's not the subject of the video, in your video you show ways to reunite a deeply divided fandom and give everyone something they love, and for that alone I wish your theory was as close to reality as possible. Regardless of whether you end up being right with your theories ... and I believe that you are on the right track ... I will simply always enjoy your theories. See you at N7

Now I'm about to replay the Mass Effect Trilogy again. Lol
Thank you! 💖
3:38 that looks way more like a Krogan than a turian Garrus
That's definitely a Krogan..
Just found your channel, instantly subbed✔️ this has to be thee most into detail about a video game on a TH-cam channel I’ve ever witnessed!
Wow, that's incredible praise, thank you so much!
That was so dense and I loved it. Thanks for putting it together.
Happy Halloween to everyone.
I want that N7 coat, but I ain't paying $500 for it
are you sure that's Garrus? it looks like a Krogan to me
What a great video!!
Hope your studying has gone well!
If you're starting the Veilguard today, hope you enjoy!!
I'm getting it today but probably won't start it until tomorrow.
Do you plan to make a review of this game?
I’ve been looking at the shadows at the bar in mass effect and it looks a lot like Femshep shadow that could be it! What he would hope no one would notice
@@wglattli Undecided! I'm still going through DAI rn, so I might even do a first playthrough of DAV live. No plans as of now though!
3:34 It looks more like a Krogan.
Agreed, the silhouette has that Krogan bulkiness to my eyes
@@khoavo510 drack maybe?
@@andreas2610 I'm thinking Grunt is more likely. Drack is nearing the end of his life in Andromeda. Grunt could work for both 2190 and 2800's.
@@dominicmoras4283 why not kesh? After Drack died his last wish was that kesh joins ryder's crew or something idk
It is. I think this is the first time she ever said this was a Turian. She always said it's a Krogan and it just simply looks like one.
This is the best! Thank you so much for your time and effort 👌 been looking for a new ME channel for awhile and glad I found you
Still think voice 3 says "We've reached the heart."
Could even have something to do with the Tempest entering the black hole to time travel
Ooh definitely could be! Or "we've breached the heart"
Playing as Shepard and Ryder again? yes please. This breakdown got me all enthusiastic again about the next ME game :)
I enjoy your theory videos, from the attention to detail to the hypothesis themselves. Kudos.
I also had a thought on Michael Gambles tweet from 2 years ago:
- Liara T'Soni (Doctor, Shadow Broker and
It doesn't fully make sense, but for someone who had to take a role imposed on her in a moments notice after the fall of the previous Shadow Broker, it sorta does in a way.
I just hope and pray they do it justice. They have the answers to the test, I hope they don’t fail.
I just want to play as Conrad Verner in ME5 😭
I liked meeting his sister in andromeda
😂😂😂
But why would Liara be looking for Alternate Sheppard (unless you use control or synthesis)? When he died on the Citadel he was in way better shape then at the end of ME2, which means they would not have to work as hard to bring him back.
Issue is how old is Liara in that teaser? She has noticeable wrinkles, Asari can live up to 1000 years. This could be hundreds of years after Me3. I just hope they do not use the wormhole thing to travel back in time and retrieve Shepard in that way xd
You give me hope, I appreciate it. Either way, your video has made me more excited for five than I have been in a while
I think voice 3 says "It's reached the heart"
A very interesting theory overall, nice work.
You’ve really outdone yourself with this one, fantastic analysis and plausible conclusion!
Great work. Can't wait to see how much of it you got right. Keep it up!!!
Bruh yall are too smart for me but this single video has made me more excited for mass effect than any of the teasers have done. Well freaking done. Hook line and sinker.
Some of these theories do seem overly convoluted but it's hard to deny the effort and strong logic. Great work
Don't forget about the end of ME3 where the little boy asks for more stories of "The Shepard"
An incredible work as always!!! :)
Thank you! :)
That picture of 'likey Garrus' looks more like a Krogan
Definitely agree with the Prothean Empire making a comeback, IF the Jardaan are Prothean and villains of course. :)
What a wonderful video! You’ve put so much effort into this and it shows. You deserve more subscribers and I’m sure you’ll get them :)
@@Scarab324 🎉
It’s both exciting and therapeutic to listen to your videos! This was excellent! :D I really, really hope Shepard comes back
This is very well done. Very intresting finds and points you have here. Nice work.
The dedication is Insane 👏🏻🙏🏻🫡
3:44 looks more like a Krogan to me
Love the context you give to support your work! It shows thought!
34:03 well mudskippers can live out of water despite being fish. So that makes sense it could go “where it doesn’t belong”
Oh my goodness, what a phenomenal breakdown. The time and work you have put into this is incredible. Thank you so much 🤗 you've got me even more excited for N7 day than I thought possible great work Atharia 🤗❤
Incredible video 24:46 not even finished yet and it’s all making much more sense with your analysis
I'm going with the butler, using the candlestick in the study! The greatest thing about this endless teasing is that we know they are working hard on the story. That bodes well for the characters and us:)
I have no idea if you're right or wrong and honestly I won't mind either way, because this was pleasantly entertaining. Thank you!
After watching this movie, I don't know if I want a new mass effect. I like this theory so much that it could make a great story. And if what you say is not true and does not appear in the game, I will be very disappointed that they didn't come up with an idea like YOU.
Very interesting how you connected the various dots for a cohesive and highly compelling theory. You've earned my subscription XD😌
Very thorough. Enjoyed the theory and fills some holes I had thinking about it. New sub now :). Keep it up.
Sorry veilguard but your gonna have to wait, Paragonseven uploaded a new mass effect video.
Same XD
The Marauder Shields!
Amazing work on this video here are my crazy unwanted theories
1 I think that relay in the trailer is probably a relay that connects to the second citadel that’s it in dark space mostly because the citadel was a mass relay it has to connect to another relay
2 reincarnated shepherd through artifacts from past lives. the thing the consort gave Shepherd in Mass effect one could that have been a past life artifact from a ancient shepherd I know the proteins use that type of passing of information through touch but maybe because the consort gave it to Shepherd and said it was for Shepherd maybe something
3 ever since the first time I’ve played Mass effect Andromeda and got to the end there it always seemed like whoever the Jardaan were split into two groups. One group wanted to create the Angara . The other group wanted to use their technology to augment themselves, hence the kett wasn’t until watching some lore videos theory videos got me to think that it may have been the Prothean or a faction of Prothean that left. So they either wanted to build an army to come back and out the Prothean Empire or to fight against the reapers. it’s pretty crazy how Ilos description almost matches what happened at habitat seven
Sorry for bad spelling and grammar errors
This is all good. Also you are not me on Tuesday so you aren't unhinged. 😁
Great video! Can't wait until N7 day, hopefully they show something substantial.
Whoa the Milky Way caused the scourge
Which made the andromeda loss the arks
Brilliant theory
Shepherd's death was, and will remain the single biggest gut punch I've ever received from a video game
I'm surmising liara is on the planet that shepard was recovered from and she just happens to find bits of gear left behind after the fact. Kinda like the dogtag mission.
I love these theory breakdown videos you do! 😊
Subscribed.
In case you wonder, ME Andromeda went on a sale on steam for 80% off. Most likely this years N7 will be somehow related to Andromeda
Andromeda and the legendary editions are perpetually on sale 😂
i don't usually buy into game theories like this one, but honestly i'm only like 20 minutes in and i'm already feeling fairly convinced about a fair amount of this.
Love your theory vids!
At about the 52:00 mark, I see a face on that poster, and it takes some squinting to see it.
Thanks for the video while I download Veilguard! I also believe that Shepard and Ryder will be dual protagonists. But I differ on how the timelines will be merged. I really need to send you my whole theory haha.
🎉
So excited to watch more of this later :)
But I just don’t want more multiverse in my life, and I don’t think Mass Effect needs it.
poor shepard, can´t catch a break...
This video is awesome! Thank you for your dedication.
It wouldn't be hard after a time skip for the alliance to build shepherd a body and have him/her upload shepherds mind to the synthetic body.( the same way a geth would)
Did I hear it right? Liara's happiness depends if Conrad Verner returns.
That's a big win 😅
Love your videos! So much details and well thought through theories, but I personally hope there will be no time travel elements.
🤩
What if the character in the N7 suit from the trailer is actually Shepard? And the only way to bring him back was to upload his consciousness into a machine?
What if at the end of ME3, when Liara did that mind share, she got
pregnant with Shepherds' daughter, and that's how they bring Shepherd back so to speak by playing his daughter
Damn, I wish it was 2024 N7 Day already, just to watch your next videos, packed with interesting ideas ❤ thank you and please keep up the good work!
I just found your channel and this content rules!!
Decided to go back to mass effect for N7D really hype for the new one hopefully the dialogue choice are great
Heres a problem with the prothean theory: The protheans were not a single monolithic race.
