I have 3 older Rotring Jazz click pens (discontinued) with the automatic retracting feature on the pocket clip that fit the 8127 refill perfectly and are a direct replacement for the original Rotring cartridge. The smoothness of the 8127 is incredible. My favorite refill. I also have a Yafa Shades Rollerball capped pen that fit the 8127 refill.
Bummed out that Schmidt isn’t making the EasyFlow 9000B anymore. Is this temporary or have they permanently discontinued it? Also what would you recommend as a similar Parker g2 style refill for the Easyflow 9000B?
So does the 8120/8127/8126 fit into the Lamy swift? Trying to replace my M66 and would prefer to not make the plastic adjustment that the P8126 needs if possible.
I have a Krone "Blue Gold" rollerball pen and it uses the Schmidt 8126. So, it may be a rare size considering they only made 388 of the "Blue Gold" pens. That may explain why I haven't been able to find that size anywhere but online.
If you're using a newer model of the Lamy Swift be veerry carful what you use as a shim, or stopper or whatever to mod a non standard refill to fit. Something the size of what he uses in this video (the piece that comes with the pen), placed inside a newer swift could easily get stuck forever. I'd recommend something half the diamater or slimmer of what is used here @7:38.
For the non-P version 8126 try the Parafernalia Kabrio. Extremely nice design and feel, maybe a little short for some. My new favourite. Comes with an 8126 and it is the extremely smooth.
I wish there was a “best in this price range” list. P8126 costs around $3/refill and I wonder if it’s worth it considering the range covers many pen options
In my never ending quest to try more pens I have currently landed a Baronfig Squire. Do you know if I can pick up P8126 refills and they would fit? I've read this is the type they use and they charge a bit more through the Baronfig site so I wanted to see if I could just get the Schmidt refill
I'm in the same boat as you with the Baron Fig! I love the pen but the ink just bleeds through everything and I'm trying to find refills that don't bleed so much
Easyflow doesn’t have the F version I remember. By the way, do you have a way of converting a 812X P refill to a Parker G2 size? I want to put a rollerball into my rotring 600.
I also have the same need/want to put a rollerball into a rotring 600 ballpoint point and would like some clarification on whether or not the P812X fits into that pen body
Any cheaper alternatives to the P8126/7? I need replacements for my Olight O'Pen 2. It came with an Olight branded ink cartridge but I read that the P8126 will fit but I don't want to spend $6 per re-fill if I can avoid it. The Olight refills are about $3 per but reviews are not good on them. My pen is new so I don't know for sure how the pen writes but I'd like to source some refills sooner than later.
I'm very confused about one thing -- which pens are actually compatible with the Schmidt 8120 or P8120 refills? I inadvertenly bought a P8120 thinking that it would fit my Parker Jotter + I was very sadly mistaken
Yes this is confusing. Very few pens. Can use the full size 8190. It’s basically an old school rollerball size. The p models are shorts and can be used with some newer pens like certain Lamy rollerballs and even some kaweco
Sal, i'm trying to find the easy flow 9000 broad in Black. They just don't make them in Black it seems. Have you been able to find the 9000 broad in Black? Thanks for all the great video btw.
@@unsharpen a seller on Amazon just replied to me saying Schmidt has discontinued making the easy flow 9000 in broad... and that the black refills have pretty much gone out of stock... What a bummer. I just picked up a few in blue anyway.
@@unsharpen Hey, thanks for this great video. Can you tell me with pen can hold the Schmidt P8126? I can only find the Retro 1951 Tornado, are there other alternatives? Thanks!
@@unsharpen Wow! Unfortunately, I just watched some of your other videos and found that they really aren't available anymore. Still hunting for a good replacement refill for my Rotring Rapid Pro, preferably something that will write on plastics and glossy paper.

So these refills are made for actually which pens? Most pens won't fit as you have mentioned.

What about the Big Idea Design pens they seem to fit tons of different pen refills.
Schmidt makes a "capless" clickable pen for the 8126. I quite enjoy writing with it. It's very smooth.
I wish there was a “best in this price range” list. P8126 costs around $3/refill and I wonder if it’s worth it considering the range covers many pen options
Does the Schmidt 8120/6/7 range fit the Lamy Swift?

Yes you can use the p8126, p8127, or p8120

Thank you for responding so quickly + I greatly enjoy yr channel ... do you know if the P8120 fits into a Kaweco Skyline Sport Gel Roller Pen?
Also, will the P8120 fit into an Energel Tradio?
I need the Schmidt 8126 refill, but I can’t find it. Is there a compatible one from another brand?
It’s essentially interchangeable with many European rollerball refills. It’s extra wide but that doesn’t stop other refills from working in its place
At the 7:40 minute mark you show using a shim with the P812x. Would the non-P (longer version) fit without a shim?
I don’t believe so (unable to check at the moment). The non p will work in a Rotring jazz
Could you please do a video on pens that use the longer Schmidt refills?!
Can these be adapted to a f-701? Thanks.
No. Much too wide unfortunately
Do you know what fits in the Rotring 900 rollerball?
A Schmidt 888 or 5888 works
Really want an 8127 but I don't know if it will fit in my TiScribe.
Sal width wise it does, I'm just worried about it not deploying fully. Especially with the refill being $5. Kind of expensive if it doesn't work.
Schmidt P950 M is suprisingly good - id say better than the P900 tbh
Doesn't show the 8126 mini once???
No, didn’t include the mini. What pen do you use it in?

I've liked this video. Thanks !
How do you hold a pen?
Are you really left handed
Will the easyflow 9000 broad fit a rotring rapid pro?
Yes
