ive just ordered a new headunit for my C1 but the connectors are just bare and not ISO and I have no idea how to wire it! What kind of adapter do I need to fit it to my existing wiring from the car?
Question? Did you need to cut the dash as the stereo is only a single din with a double din facia. Just a thought as a single din fits fine with no cutting.
Thank you for your video. Almost one-to-one compared to my radio. One advice, from a noob, please explain about the handbrake wire. I have to pull it out again to link it..
The ac botton right of the hazard since thatcsr don’t have an AC just a blower what does that connect to because I’m thinking about adding some under lighting in the footwells having that button controller it on and off
I have the Toyota Agyo 2016 1.0 vvt x-press and I have just order the CarlinKit USB CarPlay Dongle,Compatible with Android car system version 4.4.2 or above,Support IOS13/14 wired CarPlay and wired Android Auto Will I need to install autokit on my first before this system can work for Apple CarPlay
Is it a standard 16 port on back of the original radio? Looking at doing mine got my new radio but looking at a harness adapter to plug in as it’s an android radio, but not sure with out ripping out if the original is 16 pin
Hey man! really usedful thank you so much. with Covid Im going to have to do a new car radio install on a peugeot 107 (my current car is an Aygo.. so its all the same!!) I just wanted to ask a dumb question... why do you cut the inside? is it due to the radio needing that space? (obvious but i thought id ask)
Yep. There is no space there for a 2 DIN radio. This car was never designed to be fitted with a 2 DIN radio so if your radio need some space above the normal DIN designated space behind the front panel you will have to cut that plastic bit. Notice that his Sony radio is in the kinda L shape. Sad that bit that goes inside your car is on the top of the radio rather than on the bottom.
Hi great video. Just about to do this - did you find that by cutting the mid section that it weaked the dash or console area at all? any movement while driving or shaking etc? Many thanks
Hi. Just trying to identify the power cables from the car itself as I can see a black wire (ground.) and red but no yellow wire ? Wiring an aftermarket Sony (or at least trying to) without success. New wiring loom to stereo has black, yellow and red wires to connect. Have joined the yellow and red cables on the new loom then connected them to the car’s red wire. Have then connected the new loom’s black wire to the car’s black wire but no power going to nth unit, even with ignition on. Would you have any suggestions please ?
PJs projects hi. No, everything appears as original from factory. I have identified the ignition live, made my own ground and wired in a direct (fused) permanent live to the battery. Even rewired the speakers. The ISO adaptor May have been the wrong one but my son is adamant it was the correct one. Looking at it, the connector didn’t connect to the important stuff. Oh well. Lesson learnt...... don’t let my 17yr old son do stuff without checking with me first 😂. Thanks for getting back to me. If only it had been as easy as just using the correct connector 🤪 👍
Hey PJ Projects. I have bought exactly the same facia kit and have followed your video. The kit only comes with 6 screws to mount the side plates to the facia kit and no screws for fixing the radio to the side plates. Just out of interest where can I get these screws? It says on the radio that the length should be no longer than 6mm and looking at screwfix and b&q's website can't seem to find them. Any ideas? Thanks
hi m8, what car do you have?, im just about to install a pionner radio on a 107, and hear the same about reverse the yellow and red cables from the harness
Hi there. Thx for a great video. What Sony Unit are you installing ? That Unit looks nice 👍 And can you link to where you bought the new Unit holder and the Sony Unit please 👍
I strongly suggest you to not do this on your 107, Aygo or C1. It will get stolen. I had this for a week and it got stolen. Got left behind with a repair bill of 2000 euros, since my door was scratched and the lock was broken. Needed new locks and a repair paint job. Also needed a new middle console since it got stolen too. Luckily the insurance paid for it, but it was not fun.
Hello, would you happen to know the exact name of the part you're cutting off. As I'd like to be able to buy a spare when it comes to selling the car as I'd be taking the double din stereo with me. Can't seem to find it. And do you think I'd be able to glue it back on if I couldn't source a replacement unit?
This beautiful radio is overkill for this car with it’s minuscule loudspeakers. Btw, if I decide to install this radio it will be stolen from the car within two days.
For the life of me I'll never understand this stupid choices! Unless you need the additional screen area for reverse cam, nav system, etc. Why in the world butcher a car, spend money in adapters and so on. Just to have a big screen on an otherwise "normal" radio unit...
The original radio is barely usable, it has not bt or any connectivity besides aux and also sounds horrible. A single din would suffice in this case, the double dins without rev cam or nav are useless imo
Thankyou for you're video, saved me £75 in fitting from a well known car superstore 😁
Thanks!!!! My citroen c1 is sooooo pretty now 😍😍😍
Where did you order your radio from and do you have a picture I could have a look at of it in the car ?

Could you explain how you fixed microfone inside the car? And also where the cable of the microfone pass through?

Great video
Sorry never mind - saw it on my phone with no sound the first time, now I have seen it on PC with sound :)
I have the 2 din MP5 touch the cheap one, i need to cut that too the grey plastic on the center so the radio it will fit?? Thanks
What size are the 6 silver screws that hold the face unit to the stereo please ?

Would of thought any local car electronics shop could help.
Any chance that u have the dimensions of this particualar radio? I have found another headunit, which i would like to know if IT fits ord not
I have a question do you need to by both of them or just comes in the box?

cool but what do you do about the awful speakers?
Great video 👍. Do you suffer with any dashboard rattles after cutting out that bracket section of the dash? Regards

The owner of the vehicle never reported any problems and it felt firm enough to me.

Has somebody chopped the original plastic radio plug off the cars wiring? you should be able to just plug an ISO adapter in and everything work.

Would this process work if you want to install a double din car stereo with reverse camera
I Think it will you just have to have the cable back in
Hi, I am a bit lost, do I need a special wiring harness/adaptor to connect the radio wires to the new double din unit?
Most likely you will need an ISO harness lead. Usually 5 or so quid on ebay or 15 ish from Halfords.
How do u say it aygo or eyego
I'd like to install a double din system on my Toyota Aygo, are there any systems you'd recommend?are the Pumpkin, Vanku or Yuntx any good? Cheers
Does anyone know the name of the blue inserts to secure the mount?
Would be a case of asking a main dealer for the name or part number. They should have planograms showing them.
any guide for cheapest bluetooth single DIN unit?
Thanks
Can you tell me what this is called and where I could get it from please

small hardware shops or locksmiths may have them
Where do i find a wiring guide ?
Is it Bluetooth connectivity?
Nice one dude 👍
Do u need a seperate ISO harness, if so which one>?

Does anyone know how to skip a song on aux in a Peugeot 107? I can only do it on my phone :/
Not possible via AUX, only transmits audio not data.
Any idea why it loses memory and resets to default settings each time ignition is turned off? Any help appreciated?
You need to swap the red and yellow wires so that red goes to yellow and yellow goes to red.
@@PJsprojects thank you. Done! But touched the pliers on the back of the stereo and popped the 15amp fuse under the hood. Doh

clearly not
