    Wonderful my lovely! I enjoyed it very much 😊👍
    A lovely moment of escape with you Anna, like a lil' elopement in this beautiful Nature. I can only hope that everyone will appreciate the quality of what you offer as much as I do! First, it's beautifully written: 'the sun kisses my face warming my cheeks just a little before the refreshing breeze comes in, like a jealous rival, to caress my skin, giving rise to goosebumps.' What imagery! This superb prose borders on poetry, Anna! What am I saying?... It is poetry! As you can guess and as a romantic and nature lover myself, I can only but be sensitive to it.
    I won't hide from you that I knew most of the vocabulary here, but I'm still learning as with the following phrases, that were of interest to me: Take in (a view) / plonk oneself down / Laden with (I like it more than loaded with;-) / scold oneself for. And a useful and agreeable review for other terms.
    So I salute the quality of your text but also your brilliant exegesis (I know the term is a little strong) but it is so well and clearly explained in a fluid and natural way, with even the explanation of the terms of the explanation itself allowing us to learn even more. I just love it!
    Merci ! Et un grand bravo Anna, comme toujours !
    Tu es merveilleuse,
    Bisous 😘🌹❤🌸🏵🌻🌼🐝

    Good job Anna. I am to tell you about oaks, acorns, and pigs. In Extremadura (A Spanish community) there are herds of pigs around the oak forests, a myriad of them. Its have black paws. These pigs become the more expensive exquisite food, famous around the wide world, especially in the UK, the USA ( now with problems because of extra taxes), and Japan. Even for the Spanish is a luxury to eat the famous "Jamon Serrano" A glass of red wine (especially Ribera Duero Reserve 2005). You would need a credit card gold. At least I often scratch my pocket and fork out my money eating. These pigs only eat acorns. Can you try it?.

    Hi Anna, what does" I let them have both barrels" mean?

    • @EnglishLikeANative
      @EnglishLikeANative  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not very familiar with that phrase, but I think it means to really be direct and tell someone something that is annoying you, like to tell someone off. For example, if I learn that my boyfriend has lied to me then I am going to be angry and when I next see him I will confront him about it, if I let him have both barrels then I will not hold back or be kind in any way.
