Looks the part very effective fly pattern, can be effective any where, any condition. It will work when everything else fails. Excellent tutorial, takes practice as always. My flies are a little cock eyed, but still take fish, for some odd reason. Ill keep viewing the video, until I get it perfect. Thank you.☺👍
Thanks for watching Paul and glad you are also fond of this pattern, definitely a fly needed in the box 👍 The fish aren't as fussy as us if a fly is a little cock eyed 😅
Hi Peter, I usually use necks but only because the size of flies I tie vary so much and necks have a broader range of feather sizes. Like saddle hacks too so long as they are the right size for the fly I'm tying
Hi William, hope you are finding the videos helpful. There are a range of synthetic dunbbings on the market, I'm not fussed on any brand name. Most have some kind of sparkle to it, great for all kinds of flies. If you are after non flashy synthetic dubbing then acrylic wool from craft shops is very cheap and comes in a range of colours, just need chopped up or put in a coffee grinder. Mixing in synthetics into natural dubbing can give a nice body too and much easier to dub 👍
