Interesting. After pausing and researching the "indian" situation, I never knew it was politically incorrect (here in Brazil as well). I just never found the word as a form of offense since we grow up even celebrating "indians day" but now I know why it is. What I don't get is why here they changed to indigenous as the correct term, which to me is pretty much the same, but apparently the tribes' leaders agreed on that not being offensive. I still think "native" makes more sense.
Sorry for rambling so much about this, it's just that I have family from Amazonas and this whole thing was very present in my life as a child, so I got curious.
