- some questions have simple answers. what's the newest station on the London Underground? Why it's Battersea Power Station! Though maybe it's the joint newest as it opened the same day as Nine Elms... And then does the Elizabeth line count? (no.)
This station was built in tandem with the redevelopment of the iconic eponymous power station, making this the only station to have the word station in the name. Station. Great now it doesn't even look like a real word.
You appeared to have spoken about Battersea Power Station, I am only aware of Battersea Power Station Station.
An extension to Clapham junction? I had no idea. That would genuinely be so convenient
But they need crossrail 2 to go to Clapham Junction first otherwise the Northern Line would be far too busy
@@CCA2020 tbh it'd just rejoin with the SWML at Waterloo at be self defeating, as why get on at Clapham when you can stay on the mainline train and get off at Waterloo, where you can still get on the exact same train. the only people who would actually genuinely use it are people who don't want to go on the charring cross branch and don't want to go to Bank or London bridge.
@@CCA2020there is another reason
@@xander1052clapham junction also has trains into victoria, and trains that don’t stop at any london terminus and instead use the line through imperial wharf
@@xander1052also the overground, forgot to mention that
For those who don’t get why TFL didn’t build the extension to Clapham Junction so far, it’s because they were originally planning to but because most of the funding came from the power station redevelopment, it was their say. The program runners said they didn’t want people living in Battersea to get on a train that was already filled with people coming from one of the buisiest rail stations in the U.K. so TFL had to shorten the plans. As for why the PSDs weren’t implemented immediately either is thhe technology on the trains weren’t made for the modern signalling PSDs use. It’s one of the key differences between the 95 and 96 stock
"Jubilee extension"
*Charing Cross has entered the chat*
wdym it would look ridiculous? havent you heard of the the elizabeth line line
for some reason, the 'sunset sunrise sunset' is on the loading screen of the TfL Go so
edit: they got rid of this and changed it now (saturday 22/06)
Where is Episode 200?
A super expensive shopping mall and sod-all else.Total waste of time and money.
Nope
as TFL didn’t pay for it who cares. plenty of passengers use it
Moscow metro is much better
Go use it then.

‘Total cost of 750… pounds’
TFL: *now that’s a lot of money*
Big result there for Battersea Power Station station.
It’s Battersea power station station
The newest station is TECHNICALLY (considering the first train in service) Nine Elms.
At least £751 too
Steady on this is making my head spin
Battersea Power Station Station
Do you do more than one station ina day? Need a full video of how you've done this series!
All the station footage (bar occasions when I need to pick up something I've missed) is already banked and in a hard drive! All I have to do is write and record the script and edit it together. But I might possibly do a behind the scenes / q&a / livestream thing on this after the series finishes!
Please do! We would love that
Did u know it’s older than Nine Elms? It opened before Nine Elms opened
Please do hampstead!!!!!!
Oooo I wonder what number 200 will be, still haven’t seen my local station *wink wink nudge nudge*
Cannot wait for Ep 200 on Saturday!
There may be a little cameo...
No wayyy
@@vaguely.mundaneWhere is episode 200? It would be on YT by now..
