I’m a proffessional singer and I just have to say I have NEVER once seen a video of Jack singing out of tune or with bad technique. Hell I want to learn from him. Where the hell did this kid go to school?!
Lyrics: Somewhere I had seen before An unknown river flows Wherever it wants to be That's where the huckleberry grows The spirit in some distant place The place that no one knows Wherever it wants to be That's where the huckleberry grows On mountain sides, where rushing tides Are tearing at the rock From earth it breaks And mischief makes Around the prairie Dock And in the grey sky morning In the cruelest wind that blows Wherever it wants to be That's where the huckleberry grows In caves and coves It roams and roves No master to obey A pious branch No avalanche Could make it pass away It creeps into the churchyard With all them holy joes Wherever it wants be That's where the huckleberry grows It reaches out to heaven And tickles all the crows Wherever it wants to be That's where the huckleberry grows
Does anyone know where this song "that's where the huckleberry grows" is from/who wrote it? Because I couldn't find anything about it on the internet. But it's beautiful and it's been stuck in my head ever since I first listened to it and I need to know more about it.
It is indeed beautiful, it was written by Peter Wilson aka Duke Special who was accompanying Jack on Piano. The video is from a Duke Special concert. The song is from one of the musicals he wrote "Huckleberry Finn". Much to be enjoyed from the pen of this man.
Aah. I thought so. Thanks. While searching, I was looking through all of Duke's songs that can be found on TH-cam. And found that some sounded similar/ beautiful aswell.
But this song is not on his "Huckleberry Finn" EP or any other album, right? (I was looking through all the tracklists on Wikipedia) I would have loved to hear Dukes version as well. Although I have to say that Jack sung absolutely beautifully.
@@Tete-lh5ij That's correct, the EP is a recording he did of the Kurt Weil unfinished musical. Duke Special then wrote a complete Huckleberry Finn musical with all new songs. Some of the other songs are on TH-cam like, "If I Could Leave Myself Behind" and "Where Does A Bastard Belong" including a few on my channel like, "The Other Side" "The River Hides The Trail". By the way, other musicals he has written include Mother Courage and Her Children, Gulliver's Travels, Paper Boy and Bread Boy. Enjoy 👍

The number of times I've listened to Jack sing is crazy. Every time I listen to him sing, I find something new to be impressed with.
HIS VOICE SOUNDS LIKE AN ANGEL
sorry for yelling, this is just my heart
HIS VOICE!! That’s beautiful
Lyrics:
Somewhere I had seen before
An unknown river flows
Wherever it wants to be
That's where the huckleberry grows
The spirit in some distant place
The place that no one knows
Wherever it wants to be
That's where the huckleberry grows
On mountain sides, where rushing tides
Are tearing at the rock
From earth it breaks
And mischief makes
Around the prairie Dock
And in the grey sky morning
In the cruelest wind that blows
Wherever it wants to be
That's where the huckleberry grows
In caves and coves
It roams and roves
No master to obey
A pious branch
No avalanche
Could make it pass away
It creeps into the churchyard
With all them holy joes
Wherever it wants be
That's where the huckleberry grows
It reaches out to heaven
And tickles all the crows
Wherever it wants to be
That's where the huckleberry grows
Some of these may be slightly wrong but I did my best :)
@@areallysnazzyname Great attempt Abi, only two changes required I think, "Holy Joes" and "no avalanche". Many thanks for that.
@@dollythesheep77 thank you so much!
his tone is so beautiful
I have no words to describe how much I adore Jack 💕 he’s just so lovely 💖💖💖
I love his voice
The vocals are really great from both performers! Although, of course, I did not expect that Jack Wolfe had such a beautiful voice! Super!
He's literally an anime character come to life.
For real!

is there a copy of the lyrics to old man mckinner anywhere?
One Mississippi two Mississippi three Mississippi four
One Mississippi two Mississippi three Mississippi four
Old man Mckinner was a bad tempered sinner
And no-one would feign to deny
His dishonourable goal was to sell off his soul
But nobody wanted to buy
Not even the devil would sink to his level
This man with a tongue like a blade
He cursed his own mother then bludgeoned his brother
To death with a cast iron spade
(Chorus)
Hellamaleo hellamalee
The old man is heading to hell
Hellamaleo hellamalee
This old man is heading to hell
One Mississippi two Mississippi three Mississippi four
Old man Mckinner he poisoned a dinner
Of cutlets cakes and champagne
A murderous chef who's invited his nephews
To perish in terrible pain
He went to confession a five hour session
Recounting the deeds of a beast
He tried to repent to a certain extent
Then found himself stabbing the priest
Hellamaleo hellamalee
The old man is heading to hell
Hellamaleo hella malee
This old man is heading to hell
So boys who are brash hot headed and rash
With all of this rage to release
When your temper is burning there's still time for turning
And taking the pathway to peace
Old man Mckinner was no kind of winner
Remember this tale that I tell
At night in my dreams I can still hear his screams
As he's roasting forever in hell
Hellamaleo hellamalee
The old man is heading to hell
Hellamaleo hellamalee
This old man is heading to hell
Hellamaleo hellamalee
The old man is heading to hell
Hellamaleo hellamalee
This old man is heading to hell
IM SORRY JACK/WYLAN CAN SING TOO ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ THE AUDASITY
