Have you seen the benders people make out of spoons? You can find on TH-cam. Works surprisingly well. I started playing lap steel a couple months ago. One thing I like about mine is the built-in legs -- so it's always set up and ready for you to sit down and start playing, like a piano. I recommend it. Especially if you're making something beautiful, it should be out on display and inviting people to play it. Another thing to consider is integrating a holder/rest for your tone bar, so you have somewhere convenient to place it when you're not playing, so it doesn't just roll away.
I´m new to your channel will the next phase be coming along soon? I imagine that you have looked at the Certano benders. He also has roller bridges and nuts.
So, how did it turn out? Also, did you have any experience with Certano roller nut and bridge? I had a roller bridge on a guitar, it was horrible, gave the guitar a banjo like sound, I swapped it out immediately. On an old Silvertone lapsteel I had conventional plastic nut and a solid Titanal bridge I had someone machine for me (30% titanium makes it sound very glassy and resonant), I couldn't get all strings to sound evenly under the bar, no matter how much I filed, added material, filed again -- a nightmare.
Surprised you haven't shown the finished product. Looks great so far!

never heard of the Duesenberg. Excited to see what you come up with Mark!
Very very beautiful 👍👍
Certano make a really nice 2 lever bender and roller bridge and nut.
Great work as always dude. Will we get to see how you program your CNC?
Can you share the diagram with measurements please ??
i seen a dude on youtube make a bender out of the handle of a spoon, a bolt, and a couple of nuts. it looked suprisingly good
Very nice. When can we expect to see the post CNC outcome. Thanks
I have the next 4 videos planned out. I'll get back to machining the lap steel in about 5 weeks. stay tuned.
@@MarkGutierrez - Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the results. Great work.

I'll be using the Ceratno on this build. Build video comes out this Friday.
Any way you could share that body drawing?
The drawings are on my store.
