A power pole was stuck next to our place. next thing i know after the bang was a glowing ball of light emerge out of the T.V. looked almost white hot/ yellow+red. roughly the size of a yoga ball you sit on at the gym. It just hovered ~1-2 feet off the ground as it emerged from the T.V. towards us then vasished after 3-4 ft of movement from the T.V. That memory is burning into my mind. you should note the T.V. wasnt damaged from this it worked fine after.
That sounds incredible at the same time scary. Wish that was recorded or something. This is why sometimes i wish human beings were installed with a running video camera on them that can record everything they see and put it in video tape, send it to cloud, save it on TH-cam it something.
That's the coolest thing I've ever heard 😮 I was once hit by lightning indirectly when a severe storm was raging in the middle of the night. The transformer on our corner was hit by lightning and it exploded right as I reached over to turn off a metal drafting lamp. The surge traveled thru the wires, the lamp, and my hand and arm and whole body. It was pretty intense. Your story is much more fascinating tho. Some scientist could probably explain it, but...maybe not
It’s hilarious how people who didn’t pick up what this movie was laying down say that they did and that it wasn’t good. This is the kind of movie where either you can see yourself and your own struggles in it or you can’t. And if you can’t, just accept that you’re essentially colorblind here. You cannot perceive these hues. And that’s ok.
What struggles are involved? Are you saying that you have to fit into a certain archetype to enjoy this movie? I want to watch it and get something out of it but I’m seeing two very opposite reviews
I absolutely LOVED the uneasy yet satisfying feeling of We're All Going To The World's Fair. I'm so stoked for this movie, and I'm so excited to hear what Alex G brings, I can't get enough of his music.
This movie isn’t for everyone, but there is so much there that I recommend everyone watch it, just to see what it speaks to in you. Definitely more of an experience than a passive viewing, but if you really let yourself feel it, it’s probably gonna resonate.
@@Someoneudontknow120 I would describe it as a surreal coming of age movie. It follows the lead character Owen and his friend Maddie all through his adolescence and into his adulthood, specifically centering around a show they both love to watch, that seems so have some supernatural effect on them. That’s all I’ll say. It’s not all that actively scary, but it introduces ideas that haunt you well after it’s over, and it feels like you’re a different person by the time you’ve finished.
Agreed. There's a lot going in the film and you do really have to pay attention to fit it all together. For me, while certain elements didn't quite connect, it's presentation of adolescence loneliness and hard leaning on 90s young adult media definitely hit a button or two. Brought back more than a few memories, both good and bad.
Confirming (not a spoiler) that this is NOT about that one creepypasta 😆 It's a phenomenal movie that's worth seeing at the cinema for a full aural-visual-emotional experience! I enjoyed it much more than "World's Fair" and I think it'll definitely have that polarizing "love it" or "hate it" effect with audiences.
@JustinCage56 ~ It does have some really creepy moments, most of which are extremely affective. It isn't straight-forward, in-your-face horror in a demonic or psycho killer way, though... but, yeah, I wouldn't recommend it if disturbing/nightmarish imagery has a negative effect on you. 😕
@@JustinCage56 Imagine if David lynch made an episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark". That's the vibe this movie is going for. It's dark and surreal and unsettling. But it isn't about monsters jumping out at you
I was so torn after reading some of the 1 and 2 ratings on IMDB. But then I figured it was just something some people weren't going to get and that's exactly what it was. Seriously one of the best films I have seen in years. Loved just about everything about it and am going again tonight.

My review: This movie is heavy on symbolism. It has a really good message once you realise it, and it is displayed brilliantly. No doubt, the visuals are breathtaking as usual in an A24 film. I wonder if Owen ever got back to being Isabel, but I guess that's the point of the movie. Pretty pretty bittersweet.
I saw this while taking a plane to Germany and I was hooked- the loneliness of suburban life haunts the character and we see the space beyond is where they try to find refuge.
This movie is NOT for everyone. And many will not understand it, but the true message of the movie is existential horror of not being yourself. If you are interested in a similar movie, I HIGHLY RECCOMENED "Im thinking of ending things"
how can it possibly be a movie about not being yourself what its supposed to be a pro trans whatever movie, which means that its pro not being yourself by default? why every time a queer gets involved with something you ONLY hear the biggest contradictions imaginable? :p

@@OffTheCover So sorry you didn’t like this movie. I loved it. Found it profound and full of meaning. Can’t wait to rewatch.
@@OffTheCoveryou're a garbage
It's just a stolen Creepypasta. Don't get ahead of yourself
original? is a copy paste of a creepypasta with woke politics shoveled in
Oh thats such a cool concept, its like goosebumps a bit but on some outer world
That's what I thought as well! I can't wait for this.
It's actually an allegory and metaphor for queer self-denial, With Owen trying to escape from his reality, hiding from himself.
@@glassedgavv9711 That's not wrong ... but the entire metaphor for LGBT identity in the film is the supernatural element. The protagonist's denial that the Goosebumps/Alex Mack/Pete and Pete stuff happening around them is real is the metaphor for someone not coming out
when i was a child me and my mother sat in the living room. a storm came by feirce wild and lightning.
Sounds like something came through in the storm... electromagnetic entity using your tv as a medium?
Look up "Ball lightning" it sounds exactly like what you just described. It's a natural but unexplained phenomenon.
That sounds incredible at the same time scary. Wish that was recorded or something. This is why sometimes i wish human beings were installed with a running video camera on them that can record everything they see and put it in video tape, send it to cloud, save it on TH-cam it something.
@@heresheis2063DARPA is working on that
That's the coolest thing I've ever heard 😮 I was once hit by lightning indirectly when a severe storm was raging in the middle of the night.
@ you have to be empathetic to other people. Or you’ll be like “totally boring” etc.. So good luck.
I absolutely LOVED the uneasy yet satisfying feeling of We're All Going To The World's Fair. I'm so stoked for this movie, and I'm so excited to hear what Alex G brings, I can't get enough of his music.
I hated we’re all going to the worlds fair, it’s kind of put me off a bit now 😂
I’m inside my TV where everyone but I can see me.
“WHY ARE YOU HERE!?”
i'm the mask that separates them
bridge their sole desires craving
Yeule is such an amazing music artist! So happy to hear her in this trailer!
This movie isn’t for everyone, but there is so much there that I recommend everyone watch it, just to see what it speaks to in you. Definitely more of an experience than a passive viewing, but if you really let yourself feel it, it’s probably gonna resonate.
Can I ask what it’s abt? The trailer didn’t give much
@@Someoneudontknow120 I would describe it as a surreal coming of age movie.
@@Someoneudontknow120it's very "I'm 15 and this is deep". Basically Donnie Darko for the zoomers and their gender and sexuality obsession.
@@danielstockley5631 I’m sorry you weren’t able to connect with it. It makes me sad to hear that was all you got from the movie though.
Agreed. There's a lot going in the film and you do really have to pay attention to fit it all together. For me, while certain elements didn't quite connect, it's presentation of adolescence loneliness and hard leaning on 90s young adult media definitely hit a button or two. Brought back more than a few memories, both good and bad.
1:55 A24, you did it again, a scene like that, if it leaves you with intrigue or terror, I'll go see it in the hundred
The movie is great, and the visuals are stunning. Kudos to the cinematographer and everyone involved.
this film literally changed my life
This movie destroyed me, yet reinvented me at the same time.(idk how to explain it) 10/10 I cried so hard for 0 reason.
10/10? Are you stoned? This movie was TRASH!

Wonderful to see another LGBTQ character. It brings the real world into this film. Can't wait to see it.
im gay and im sick tired of the overepresentation we get, even the fking trailer “hurhur am lezbian”…. fking stop
I will watch everything Jane Schoenbrun directs
Confirming (not a spoiler) that this is NOT about that one creepypasta 😆 It's a phenomenal movie that's worth seeing at the cinema for a full aural-visual-emotional experience! I enjoyed it much more than "World's Fair" and I think it'll definitely have that polarizing "love it" or "hate it" effect with audiences.
Is it spooky at all? I just can't do horror films that are super overt cause, then I'll get super crazy nightmares.
@@JustinCage56it's not spooky, but will leave you feeling uneasy
@@JustinCage56 Imagine if David lynch made an episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark". That's the vibe this movie is going for. It's dark and surreal and unsettling. But it isn't about monsters jumping out at you
I was so torn after reading some of the 1 and 2 ratings on IMDB. But then I figured it was just something some people weren't going to get and that's exactly what it was. Seriously one of the best films I have seen in years. Loved just about everything about it and am going again tonight.
This MIGHT be my new favorite movie
Saw this at Sundance. INCREDIBLE and one of my faves so far this year.
the cast is casting. I am so excited. This is such a cool idea too. Reminds me of the message "Little Nightmares 2" was trying to portray with the tv people. I love the soundtrack as well, and the colors. Just all around, looks like it'll be a great film. Definitely my most anticipated watch for a long time.
Was that Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl playing in the background of the trailer?
THIS IS EVERYTHING I COULD EVER WANT IN A MOVIE. Weird A24 horror with Phoebe Bridgers doing the soundtrack? YES PLEASE
and alex g!!!!!!!!!!
@@jellie-ig1hg yes!!! It's mostly Alex G behind the score which is so freaking cool, his music fits perfectly. But the other artists involved did such a great job! The band scenes were amazing to watch. I truly hope Alex composes the music for all future Schoenbrun films 💜
Like someone remembered Eerie, Indiana and updated it. I saw Pete & Pete in the credits too!
We are old
I love those shows
Don't listen to the haters. This movie is amazing with one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a film.
God, I have no idea what the hell this was. I want more.

Hype to see Jane Schoenbrun have access to an even larger audience. Dope. Also, Broken Social Scene sample can't be bad.
Isabelle, girlie, I promise you there's still time. You got so close before and you'll be able to take the step again.

The beautiful color blocking has me in love already 😮❤
There is still time. 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
That one dude never stops working I swear. I see him in everything
My review: This movie is heavy on symbolism. It has a really good message once you realise it, and it is displayed brilliantly. No doubt, the visuals are breathtaking as usual in an A24 film. I wonder if Owen ever got back to being Isabel, but I guess that's the point of the movie. Pretty pretty bittersweet.
i love stylistic unique indie films... i love a24
I have a feeling that the director is a fan of Gregg Araki.
Jane always somehow manages to get the biggest indie musicians to work on her projects.
0:35 is that the lake Aubrey Plaza sat by in Blackbear??
I think it’s a breathtaking movie ever. Plus it’s A24’s 3rd PG-13 rated movie ever and I enjoyed it. Thanks A24.
When I finished watching the movie... I died somehow and something new was born in me, Thank you Jane pd. I love sad songs too. 🖤
Looks like some ‘Life is Strange’ sequel that went down the horror route and actually had a plot.
Anthems for a 17 year old girl is banger of a song
I saw this while taking a plane to Germany and I was hooked- the loneliness of suburban life haunts the character and we see the space beyond is where they try to find refuge.
Genuinely one of my favourite films of all time now. One of the first movies ive truly related to on such a deep level
This movie is NOT for everyone. And many will not understand it, but the true message of the movie is existential horror of not being yourself.
If you are interested in a similar movie, I HIGHLY RECCOMENED "Im thinking of ending things"
yea both of these are definitely not for casual movie goers. the horror of aging and missing out on life.
Thanks, can you please elaborate on which type of people would not like it?
how can it possibly be a movie about not being yourself what its supposed to be a pro trans whatever movie, which means that its pro not being yourself by default? why every time a queer gets involved with something you ONLY hear the biggest contradictions imaginable? :p

I really want to see this so badly for some reason, there’s something weirdly hypnotic about the trailer
I saw it the other day and it is indeed very strange and hypnotic. I am still trying to figure it all out, what was real, what was not, etc. It left me feeling a bit sad and anxious. I would recommend seeing it, but it will be divisive. I have already heard some people say they got fed up with it and walked out because it is odd.
